Half the amount Ailes received as severance.

Naturally.

Roger the Hutt is in a world of hurt.

This will serve to bring the rest of his victims out of hiding.

Given how clear-cut the violations were, I’m glad they’re paying a good chunk of change. Here’s hoping it opens the floodgates for others; what with how endemic this behavior seems to have been inside Fox News, I’d be surprised if she’s the only one who obtained damning evidence…

Let’s keep our fingers crossed. Maybe FOX will be killed by the sword that killed Gawker.

$20 Million will buy a lot of hamburger.

I was 16 years old, living in Radnor, Pennsylvania. I was sent over for a walk-on part on The Mike Douglas Show in the winter of 1967. It was 6:30 in the evening and the place was totally closing up. Ailes took me into this big office and locked the door with a key. He reclined on a couch in a seating area under a map that had flags of all the cities they were syndicated in. He proceeded to pull down his pants and very gingerly pull out his genitals and said, “Kiss them.” And they were red, like raw hamburger.

$20 million and a public apology! I’d say they pretty much gave her whatever she asked for which means the allegations were indefensible.

That’s what I’ve been hoping for all along. I’d like to see a class action suit of some kind, if that’s even possible, with dozens of women suing Ailes personally and the network. I would love to see Ailes bankrupted and the network exposed as being morally bankrupted.

Unghhh… so gross. And now it’s hamburger that’s aged almost fifty years

Does settlement include the usual non-disclosure agreement (3x the settlement in penalty if Carlson or
her lawyers discuss it)?

She sued Ailes , not Fox News…

Who exactly will be paying ?

As long as jail time is excluded from punishment, then it becomes the only the cost of doing business.

the company is expected to offer an unprecedented public apology as part of the settlement

We’re sorry if anyone was offended.

Good for Gretchen. I can’t wait for the apology.

Well this can only help Ailes’ suit against NY Magazine.

Please not the hamburger story again! It literally (in the actual sense of the term) makes me nauseous.

I’m sure there’s an Ailes sausage-like story, would that be better? :-}

You are a pig making light of what a woman endured at the hands of a disgusting serial harasser and you see it as because she’s pretty. Get a grip.

I think indefensible is about right. BUt I imagine what would have come out in a courtroom fight would have been way to reveling. She’ll get the money with conditions. The primary one that no one ever knows what happened.
