Fox; they decide when they report.
I donât know whether an investigation of Fox killing the story would be justified or not, but there may be another way to skin this cat.
Trump is still (sort of) denying the details of his involvement in the Daniels deal. Congress could question this reporter to see what information she had on that and when she had it (not about her sources, which is another problem). They could also ask whether she had any contrary information that cast doubt on the story or whether it was solid. All this in the interest of fact-finding on the original issue â not about why Fox killed it. It would, of course, be obvious that Fox killed it â but thatâs just a by-product.
[ETA:] Another issue might be whether Fox was promised privileged access to the White House, which they certainly have. There are different types of currency, after all.
And Trump continues to tweet commercials for FOX âŚ
Murdoch is a naturalized US citizen.
Remember back when we used to think the problem was Roger Aisles?
Throw in huge tax cuts for the Corporate Ownership, and gutting Net Neutrality, Whatâs not to love?
Fox killing the story, no, thatâs within their purview.
But⌠Maybe a Committee might want to be asking about the various contacts between the campaign and fox. Did they push the info back over to Trump, and did that prompt any of the last-minute moves to pay off Stormy?
I donât believe for a second that Ailes got wind of this and didnât make sure to also pass it on to Trump, that there was a story sitting out there and people were stumbling across it.
Why exactly again is a little prick like Murdoch granted US citizenship by Congress (no green card for him) when his beyond meddling in Australia and England politics was well known? Maybe because to control as US tv network you have to be a US citizen? A disgusting corrupt slime ball at home w/Reugnicans
Michael Cohen was Hannityâs lawyer IIRC. It would be interesting if there is a SDNY investigation of Fox News/Hannity that Cohen cannot comment about.
Is there an FCC hearing anytime soon for Fox Network license renewal?
Cable channels do not require an FCC license.
Besides, just who is heading the FCC these days?
âIn order to grant your renewal, we are abolishing CNN and MSNBC as unfair and unhealthy competitors.â
The FCC has no such power, and it has ZERO control over cable-only channels.
Their fiction sets a new low bar as well.
They front paged the scurrilous and easily discredited Corsi produced crap book called âClinton Cashâ just before the election. The clouds of suspicion thickened around the Clinton campaign as Trump held another fun rally for his fans.
âWe distort and omit, you get misinformedâ
Not a surprise and Iâd say very typical, must protect the investment.
If this story doesnât lead every major paper, radio and tv news outlet (except one of course) then our political press hasnât learned a thing, and likey isnât going to. If CNN, WSJ, ABC, NPR, etc. all let Fox Newsâ use of propaganda to propel Trump into the GOP nomination slide as just âbusiness as usualâ this countryâs political press is completely lost. I donât anticipate, but I await those networks finally calling out Fox News and to stop treating them as a legitimate news outlet. No more access to press pools, no more positive coverage, no more excuses for their lies and propaganda.
Fox News might as well change its name to TASS.
