Discussion: Report: Ex-Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore To Drop Out Of 2016 GOP Race

Gilmore: My performance improved over 1000% in NH over Iowa… [/quote]

He was just gaining traction. Went from 12 votes in the caucus to 133 in NH. I am sure his campaign war chest skyrocketed to $24.

Cruz has already put out a mailer targeting the 15 SC voters who were heard saying nice things about Gilmore. The mailer says Cruz “shares Jim’s values whatever you think they are.”

What the list does not reflect is that Jim fought hard up the low A minors debate league, and even fought Poughkeepsie to a draw.

I suspect Gilmore was unaware he was running too until he overheard someone talking about it.

You may yet. His plan is that the convention becomes a total stalemate between Trump, Cruz and Rubio with each holding exactly one-third of the delegates, and for some odd reason Reince announces they all must choose between Palin and Gilmore. He wins huge among the desperation vote.

The only reason she wanted all 1500 on that stage with her is because her advisors told her the less speaking and viewing time she got the better were her chances of using her persuasive powers on the American people.

I follow politics so closely I annoy my friends regularly. Yet I had absolutely no idea this man existed, let alone that he had entered the race for President until he dropped out. ZERO visibility.

It’s all good fun to say “who?” or “was he running?” when one of the minor occupants of the killer klown kar debarks, but this time it’s for real. I flatter myself that I keep pretty close track of these things and yet I had, both, never heard of this guy nor had any awareness that anyone by his name was running for president.

I mean, he was running for the Republican nomination, so I assume he’s a raging asshole with some kind of mental disorder that takes on a particularly sinister or terrifying cast when you imagined someone with that disorder in the White House, but it’s still almost pathos-inducing that this is the only time anyone ever hears of him.

Gee – I thought he was executed by firing squad in 1977. Who knew he was running for President?

This is just the break that the Romney campaign needed!
