Last night HBO showed All The President’s Men. Which ends after Redford and Hoffman inform Ben Bradlee/Jason Robards that the FBI and the CIA are involved. And Jason Robards delivers some of the greatest movie lines ever in his bathrobe out in the middle of his front lawn at 2 AM and tells them to take a hot bath, get some sleep and get back to work. Who knew the FBI would still be involved in GOP Ratfuckery.?

James Comey responded immediately in a letter to Congress covered by every newspaper in the US stating that pertinent information related to an investigation was found at DNC headquarters. And that they’ll until 10 seconds after the election is over to know more.

Agree, my second thought. First one was at first glance of headline in which I thought, “Whoa now there’s some trolling…the DNC told the FBI they bugged their office? That should send them scrambling.” But alas, projection by HO won the moment and the trolling dream was all too short.

To sum it up, the FBI is not non-partisan and is no friend to any sitting president. B. Clinton appointed Louis Freeh who then went after him for Filegate, Whitewater and Lewinsky. Good news: FBI director can be fired and doesn’t have to be “for cause.”

Speaking of Roger Stone, I’m surprised TPM never picked up on this story about faked documents that were “leaked”, including one designed to show Podesta, worried that Clinton is losing ground in the final stretch, suggests using dirty bombs as part of their poll-disruption strategy. Stone of course tweeted about this.
