Discussion: Report: Deutsche Bank Beginning To Comply With NY AG Subpeona For Trump Docs

Gee, you mean White House legal geniuses Rudely Gelatinous and Jay Sinkhole couldn’t pry Trump out of this one? Quelle surprise! (That’s French for, “Rudy and Jay couldn’t even get a parking ticket fixed for Trump.”)

Early March? You can “scrub” a lot of docs in 7 weeks.

Since this has to do with a German bank, I know Trump is dying to Tweet something about Nazis that he thinks is funny, but I can see a staffer pointing to Stephen Miller and telling Donald, “Ummm, sir, I hate to be THAT guy, but…”

Eventually, maybe we’ll be able to see what an honest businessman tRump was. :smirk:

Mazel Tov. Should we celebrate now or hold off until after the indictments. This should prove fruitful at some point…I hope.

@srfromgr…I think that we can comfort ourselves that this is the dirtiest, most corrupt, most compromised and most debauched human being who ever received a government paycheck…and we are going to see things…and more things…and even more things come to light about Trump.

He has been a crook of some sort for at least 50 years…

The president just said we should “get back to infrastructure.” Did Infrastructure Week actually take Easter off?

Does anyone know what it would take for the NY AG to get the documents to the House? would a simple request suffice?

And while we’re at it, Mazar’s HQ is in New York City… has James requested their Trump docs yet?

Yep, real charges will also make Democratic leadership in the House a bit less squeamish on Impeachment.

Republicans have always screamed about states rights. It is true that the balance of power between states and the feds is part of the Constitution’s design, but with the Constitution and the feds to enforce it being the supreme law of the land.

But the flip side of that is when the feds don’t enforce the Constitution, or subvert its principles as Trump and the Rs in Congress and the courts regularly do now, then states to have the right to pursue those officials and enforce the Constitution itself, be it for abuse of power, emoluments violations, or just routine criminal behavior (such as using your charitable foundation to serve your own interest).

Let’s hope we see that play out since Trump is powerless to stop his home state from giving him a financial rectal exam. It won’t be pretty.

Keep applying pressure from every angle and every source and every investigation.

I’m sure he’ll take this well. Maturely. Like a stable genius who’s done nothing wrong … ever. Like a big boy.
