I just want to grab these guys and shake them and scream at them “IF YOU HELP HIM, TRUMP WILL RUIN YOU!” I don’t understand why so many people in Washington are so slow to figure this out.
Baloney and also Malarcky You ask me to do the hit and then you out me. lol. you own it
Mr. Rosenstein left the impression that he couldn’t work in an environment where facts weren’t accurately reported, the person said. The deputy attorney general objected to statements by White House aides citing Mr. Rosenstein’s critical assessment of Mr.Comey’s job performance to justify the firing.
Too late, tovarisch. Lie down with fleas, get up with more fleas.
Nice try, but as Josh noted on the front page, you own what you did and can’t spin it away that you didn’t know what you were doing and the purpose of what you did wasn’t known to you. The text of your own memo betray your claims. And that you “thought about” but didn’t resign proves you have no defense or argument.
Furthermore, even if you were really that gullible and easily pushed around, that is prima facie evidence that you are not qualified for, or up to the task of your position.
Resign.
Tomorrow the excuse will involve Bozo the Clown.
It was two weeks from his swearing-in to his new job as Bus Speed-Bump. Everyone who works for a Trump, any Trump, has to ask themselves two questions:
1). Do I have the guts to stand up to my employer?
2). If I actually had the guts, would I have been offered the job?
I think this is the solution to the Mystery of the Dignity Wraiths. Trump just has an abuser’s instinct for finding victims.
He is deeply mistaken if he thinks this helps recover his shattered reputation and he can keep his job just like before this thing as if nothing had happened. It’s just incredible he doesn’t seem to get it.
Lie down with dogs, you wake up with fleas.
Yup. I wrote something similar after it came out that Obama had told DT he shouldn’t hire Flynn, only to be blamed for DT deciding to hire him anyway. DT will pin whatever he can on someone else in the room.
Apparently, he’s now clarified that he’s perfectly at home in that environment.
If he doesn’t put on the white hat this instant, he will be forever known as Archibald Cockholster.
Not to mention the stink of a steaming pile of crap that can’t ever be completely washed off.
One hundred and eleven days and we are waiting on the independent investigation to see if the sitting President is financially tied to Russian corruption and money laundering, and whether the sitting President is a liar, certifiable and likely guilty of obstruction of justice. And we now have the sitting VP caught in lies and by association, is also culpable.
This is a crisis like we have never seen and the drip, drip, drip is now a fire hose.
This is not going to be the new normal. I refuse to accept this and so should everyone else.
Call your Congressman and Senators.
They think they are going to get in on the Grift .
All they will do is get the malodorous stink of Trump all over them and it will never wash off
Ever
Mr. Rosenstein left the impression that he couldn’t work in an environment where facts weren’t accurately reported, the person said.
And yet he is still working in such an environment despite ample opportunity and justification to resign.
He’s only naive if you accept his pleas of innocence, if you don’t he is just another lying shitheel a perfect fit for this administration.
I keep thinking it can’t be far off
They are all going to be scrambling for the lifeboats of the SS Trumptanic
Rosenstein doth protest too much.
It’s not the part where they have their dignity sucked out of them that’s painful to see. It’s the flailing about pretending to still have it days after it’s gone that’s hard to watch.
A few nights ago, I went to a well-known corporate steakhouse franchise and was told by the greeter that there would be a five to fifteen minute wait while tables were cleaned off and then she gave me some weird line about “so we can give you the best possible service” in a sing song tone of voice one ordinary only hears over the PA system in an airport. And the thing was, from right there, where I was standing, without even really craning my neck, I counted ten cleaned, set-up tables on both sides of the restaurant from me. And then she whisked off “to scout” to see if tables had been cleaned up and left another woman there to give the same line to other customers who were after me.
I was handed my buzzer and left to wait with those people. But, unlike them, rather than sitting down meekly and waiting, I just began to seethe. Because, while I get that telling little white lies to the customers when things go to shit in the back is a necessary part of the restaurant business, this was different. Because this was a “you just stood there and told me a bald-faced, easily demonstrated lie right to my face” lie. A lie so inconsistent with the facts that were also right there in front of my face, that it constituted an open expression of contempt for my intelligence and a conscious assault on my dignity. And after a couple of minutes of standing there stunned, I just came to a boil, handed my buzzer to the other greeter, who had just completed telling the same lie to another patron and said, “I’m sorry, but I just realized that my rage over having had you stand there and lie to my face about tables not being clean when I can stand hear and count ten tables that are cleared and ready is going to completely ruin my ability to enjoy my meal” and left.
And as I walked out, I wondered if we’d really hit the point where we are in such a completely post truth world that even restaurant greeters feel like it’s a normal thing to tell that kind of lie, lies that are so demonstrably and obviously false that they reveal a specific intent to humiliate you and compel your submission to their power. And I don’t know. Only thing I do know is that I am now hyper-sensitized to that kind of lie in a way that, maybe before, I wasn’t.
