Discussion: Report: Cohen Promised Novartis Help Accessing Trump Administration

Cohen’s shingle says “Open for Graft.”

Nice work if you can get it: Promise access to the president, fail to deliver, and keep getting paid anyway because the mark is too afraid of “irking” Trump the Vindictive.

This must he why Giuliani came out saying Trump paid back Cohen, trying to prevent digging further into the LLC?

Well, the Trump campaign was spamming members of Parliaments all over the world for donations(illegally), so why not?

But yeah, I suspect there quite a few emergency board meetings happening today and last night. Nor do I think it was exclusively going to Trump. What I believe we are seeing unfolding is a mega money laundering scheme that was funding the GOP throughout the 2016 cycle. That shoe IS going to drop, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it was Trump himself who eventually drops it…its his MO; replace a bad news story with an even worse story, especially if someone else is taking the heat instead of him.

I thought this is how it usually goes when we get a Republican administration:

It’s really a darn shame we can’t see Trump’s tax returns.

Cohen had better returns than the Nigerian email scammers. He should offer a webinar at $1000 a pop.

Question for the COG of Novartis, in what GL account should those 1.2 million should be charged? R&D like all the super bowl Viagra ads?

Getting it back would have involved scrutiny over the deal, which is what is happening now.

This is game, set, and match when it is uncovered.

It’s “almost as if” Trump was/is profiting off his position as president.
It’s “almost as if” Trump colluded with and cooperated with Russia and was/is getting paid for his efforts.
It’s “almost as if” Trump engaged in so many illegal/immoral/despicable activities that Russia had/has him totally compromised.

For some reason I really want to sit down and binge watch The Godfather movies. At least, the first two.

We’re supposed to believe that a big company like Novartis would pony up over a million dollars and get NOTHING?

Yep, someone brought up these very points in a podcast I was listening to this morning.

[/quote]Really too bad there isn’t a mechanism by which Congress could require those tax returns to be released.

I think Sarah Huckabee Sanders has a technical term for all of this … “standard operating procedure.”

To: Mr. Michael Cohen

Dear Sir
Thank you for your letter regarding your concerns for our company’s bottom line by offering to put us in touch with the president, ahead of national interests and the poorer citizenry. We here at 7-11 do not feel the need at the present time to expend money towards furthering our expansion, as we have examined our books and find we are doing well anyway.
We see from your records you also sent us a job application in 1983, and again, as we pointed out at the time, the hiring manager, after careful consideration following your interview, felt you were not 7-11 timber.
We’re glad to see you’ve landed on your feet in your current career. Enclosed is a coupon for 20% off your next Slurpee purchase.
Sincerely,
Mr. I. Yokato
President 7-11

yes, these poor innocent pharmaceutical companies had no experience with the big bad world of money and influence. They were as helpless as the mice in their own laboratories. I could cry.
