Discussion: Report: Co-Owner Of 666 Fifth Ave. To Sell To Kushner Cos

Well…how much do top secret classified materials sell for these days? Some creepy hedge fund somewhere must be setting a market on this.

I suppose the rest of us will have to live with Trail of Tears - the sequel. That’s been the definition of this Presidency. We are all Indians now.

I would say that makes me the Love Criminal, but that’s too vain.

Speaking of top secret classified materials, is it a coincidence that Jared’s good buddy Muhammad bin Salman (“MBS”), with whom Jared shared the names of MBS’s enemies as identified by US intelligence, just paid a visit to the U.S.?

Its probably a deal where they sell for almost nothing, just to escape the debt payments.

Interesting that this news broke on the day where we found out that American companies will have to divest themselves of some Russian assets no?

For all we know, this might even be seller financing :anguished:

Whoever buys it from Kushner will have to clear the title.

Exactly. How can the Kushners, who are still desperately searching for someone — anyone in the world — to give them financing to pay the huge payment on the property due next year, afford to buy out their co-owner?

Vornado must be taking a huge loss.

It wouldn’t surprise me if there’s zero cash involved, instead offering considerations such as a share of (hypothetical) future income streams, or options to buy back in at advantageous prices if and when the Kushner management turns this into a financially attractive property. Voronado wants out, and will take any token payment, especially a payment that they don’t immediately have to write down to zero.

Perhaps there’s little money involved and Vornado is cutting it’s losses by essentially giving their share to the Kushners just to get out from under it. If the building is worth x millions and the outstanding loans are 2x millions, why not just sign over your shares?

Beat me to it.

That’s the oddest couple ever. All that’s missing is Jared’s yarmulke.

Also, who wants to stay in a money-losing business deal that comes with a likelihood of future conversations with the FBI or Special Counsel?

That photo looks fake to me. It feels like a photoshop that the Daily Show or some other late night show would do when mocking Kushner about his relationship with MBS.

Are they holding hands as is customary among the Saudi royals?

MSB: “I own you now bitch.”
Jared: “Yes sire.”

It may be easier to refinance with just one owner. And if Vornado “sold” it at a nice low price, there is less to refinance, and much appreciation in the White House.

Two words : Saudi Arabia

Hope they got the money upfront. Rumor’s it that Jerad has a, uh, cashflow problem.

Always an excellent question to ask.
