Yep, thatâll do it! Would LOVE to see this happen.
Cue the chorus of, âBUT WHAT ABOUT THE MOST QUALIFIIIIIIIIIIED REVERSE SEXISM!â
Heads will be 'splodin across redneck Amurikah.
Sounds like a plan to me!
And not just for cabinet secretariesâbut also for mid-level appointees and support staff.
Maybe even for the Joint Chiefs.
I likey!
âBecause itâs 2017, and weâre getting used to following Canada in issues of social progress.â
Love the idea but that linked article in the NYT is a piece of junk and call me cynical, I think itâs entire purpose is to create narratives for people to be pissed about, us if she doesnât hit 50% or conservatives for the inevitable reverse-racism canard. The author is basically fantasizing about what he thinks will happen, with no sources, no real evidence to how she would govern and no thoughtful reasoning for their assertions.
Waiting for the old white male Trump supportersâ heads over on Fox News to explode over this. The blondie womenâs, heads, too.
Mitch McConnell was quoted after the election as saying âwe learned our lesson on how to prevent her cabinet picks during the great SCOTUS blockade of ought16⊠sheâll regret her nominationsââŠ
shortly after his keepers started his daily sedation and reminded him that heâll be the Senate MINORITY leader again⊠maybe⊠if the rest of his Republican colleagues arenât tired of himâŠ
The Rs not only donât like some of her policies, including tax increases on the wealthy, expanding Social Security, etc. but if they cooperate they canât fundraise off her. But I do like the thought of âafter the defeat of Mr. T. . . .â
She will be dealing with a Republican Party that is deeply fractured and demoralized after the defeat of Mr. Trump, whose leaders will be searching for ways to show they can govern and to court Hispanics if Mr. Trump loses badly with them. Mrs. Clinton also thinks a huge Democratic turnout this fall would put the Senate back in her partyâs hands, while Speaker Paul D. Ryan and the Republicans would have a reduced majority in the House.
What Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Clinton do not know â but regularly explore in conversations, according to friends â is whether Republican leaders, even if their power is diminished, would be in a mood to cooperate.
@tomanjeri There would have been numerous interviews with most of the people cited, thatâs how reporting is achieved. So, Iâll not only say youâre cynical but say the article is anything but junk. It lays out her thinking, and the thinking of the people around her including John Podesta who is in charge of her campaign, has worked for both B. Clinton and Obama/Biden and would likely be her chief of staff.
âThe report is based on interviews with friends and advisors close to Clinton â some on the record, some unnamed â and they told the Times that she also plans to look at talent from Silicon Valley to assemble a diverse cabinet.â
Corporatists or liberals? Silicon Valley? CEOs, bankers, wall streeters or liberals/populists?
How many liberals and progressive social activists did Obama appoint to his cabinet?
This is only ârumorâ that seems somewhat like a âleakâ that she canât be held accountable for should it turnout to be manipulative propaganda.
IF she names a liberal as her VP running mate, I will vote for her. IF she names Tim Kaine or another corporate/centrist Democrat, I will not vote for her.
Actions are the only thing that matter. The rest is just subtle BS trying to imply liberalism/populism to mask corporatism.
What unmitigated horseshit.
My country of origin is not known for feminism. That being said, there is no real threat hereâŠunless one is the kind of person whose interest in the hard work we have to do with the challenges facing us is secondary to oneâs maleness and whiteness.
But it seems that the imaginary demons are always the most real.
Tenemos que luchar JUNTOS.
Why only half? Testosterone is a WMD.
My guess is Republicans wonât cooperate to build bridges or any other infrastructure. They will shrug off the loss with the explanation that Trump just was not a real conservative. The misogyny against President Hillary will seamlessly replace their racism against President Obama.
Unless you have some special insight into her thinking you are only inferring that sheâll be masking corporatism with liberalism/populism. Donât vote for her. It will thrill the orang to know that.
@antisachetdethe I think Plain said it best: ââsplodey heads keep splodinââ
âBrowniesâ like me are less than 50% of the population. It will be interesting to see the contortions of those ladies who are enthusiastic denizens of BaggerNation. I saw a glimpse of it with interviews with some Trump female supporters.
Women are the majority of the nation.

TPM:
âThereâs that old saying, âNothing about us without us,ââ former Michigan Gov. and Clinton-supporter Jennifer Granholm (D) told the Times.
Hmm, if Clinton declines to give Warren the VP slot, or if Warren decides she doesnât want it, then maybe Granholm could be a good VP choice.
I mean, if the Canadian anchor baby son of Cuban Kennedy-assassination-conspirator Rafael Cruz can run for President of the United States, then Granholmâs Canadian birth shouldnât pose any problems, right?
