This is just another bomb Bannon launched against Jared in their war. Expect more to come.
The interesting thing about these disclosures is: Who disclosed them?
Looks like Bannon is trying to create some distance (before possibly hopping off a sinking ship.)
Machiavelli would be proud!!
“You can’t fire the FBI,” Bannon told Trump…
Next up, Trump tries to fire the electorate.
So Kushner knows he’s in trouble and thought by getting Comey axed on trumped up charges that he’d some how get off. Now he’s taking down the big Rump with him.
Meanwhile Pence continues to lead the cover-up effort…or he too will be implicated for his direct involvement. Pence making the same erroneous decision as Kushner. Pence knew all along that Flynn was working things with Putin and Russia and he was the middle man managing the day-to-day.
The whole House of Trump is burning to the ground.
strategizing how to dismantle Democracy. anyway you slice it. greedy traitors
Oh, yeah?! Watch me! Trumps do what they want - with no consequences but good ones…
Except he’s not, really. He has his finger on the pulse of Trump’s most feral supporters, but Bannon isn’t clever enough to execute a strategy to change American democracy at the highest levels - that’s why he was in tabloid journalism rather than a D.C. insider.
Hmmm… bet ya if Pence gets promoted, Bannon remains the president’s right hand man and we’ll still have all the same horrible policies being pushed and more easily slipped through without the chaos. Here’s hoping that Mueller’s investigations implicate Pence too.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the way it went down. Kushner’s attitude is one of getting his way whatever the means. After all, in business, you just terminate people who are making your life difficult. Certainly, the whole episode with Joe & Mika shows he believed that blackmail was a winning strategy (despite having seen the negative side re: his own father.) I have no doubt that Rump took Kushner’s (and probably by default Ivanka’s) advice and reaped the whirlwind.
Kushner learned the dark arts of blackmail and dirty dealing from his own father. Neither of them are smart enough though to do so without being caught. BTW, that Bannon is now being hailed as the voice of reason, it signals that Kushner is on his way out of the White House sooner than later.
According to Green, senior White House adviser and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner disagreed with Bannon and pushed for Comey’s termination.
Geez, I can’t imagine why a conspirator would try to hinder an investigation into the conspiracy, can you? Just weird.
Oh yeah, hopefully Pence ends up having a very short stay in the WH because I don’t think he’d keep Bannon on as a holdover from the Rump days. I think he’ll bring on some really horrendous fundie nut job who’s on the exact wave length as he is.
Said this before – everything I read about Kushner suggests the man is a Trump clone with a little more reserved public demeanor. So, this is not surprising at all.
Girls tend to date/marry their daddy’s copy or their exact opposite. I guess Ivanka belongs to the former group.
“You can’t fire the FBI,” Bannon told Trump, according to an unnamed White House,…" [cough Bannon!]
Only the “loosers”, “hater’s” and the democrat party
Of the many paths of investigation that Mueller is taking – I really hope somehow the Mercers are implicated in criminality. I think there must be some connection between russian hacking, election meddling and Renaissance.
You think the Mercers would put up with their installed operative being sent to pasture? They control the money and likely know where bodies are buried. I think Pence would have to keep him. Remember – Bannon wanted to leave when trump tried to sideline him with Kushner – but the Mercers put the kibosh on that one. I really think all the buffoonery is masking that there is some very powerful evil operating behind the scenes.
My impression was that he’s quite smart, but also in that quite smart zone where he may think he’s smarter than he actually is. He’s definitely surrounded by a bunch of people who would amplify this impression.
