If it was Donald Trump being interviewed he’d have been screaming at them to go back to Roanoke. Throw journalists in with immigrants, women, blacks, gays, Planned Parenthood and Muslims that better increasingly watch their backs as the public boards the Trump Crazy Train.

I just can’t watch the video. This saddens and scares me beyond belief. Just goes to show there are no “safe” places any longer. What a senseless loss of these young lives.

Sorry, I can’t watch that. Cannot. At first, I was thinking that it was an assassination of either one of those two people. But then I realized that doesn’t make sense insofar as hired killings aren’t usually so extremely public. They could be just random murders. Heinous, in any case.
Of course, why worry about gun violence when it’s anchor babies that are going to be the death of us all?

It appears to be a random murder. The “good” part of this is that the camera caught footage of the murderer. So far, the only thing we know is that he’s a white man dressed all in black. I don’t know if there is more known yet.
How sickening that this seems to be taken almost as the norm in this country of gun humpers and ammosexuals. The initial disgust and outrage and anger will subside and little or nothing will be done to begin to control gun related violence. The massacre of more than a dozen school children wouldn’t do it and neither will this. And the very predictable reaction from the Right Wingnuttery Con and Bagger element of the Republican Party will be that the only solution is more guns. How long before the NRA suggests had they been armed, this could have been prevented?
This is tragic and horrible carnage and the political cowards cringe today at the very thought of taking action against it and provoking the wrath of the GOP and NRA gun nuzzling crowd. So on it goes.

I don’t know the resort, as I’m not from the area, but I will wait until they catch the perpetrator and not speculate further.

How long before the NRA gives its standard take on this?
If they were both holding guns instead of a camera or microphone…
Will the media finally do its job reporting on the gun problem in this country now that one of their own met their end in the way so many others have in recent years?

Jeez. So SO sad.
I have the WaPo app on my phone and every now and again I receive a pop up notification with breaking news. This morning, I received notification that the Dow had risen two points but no notification that two TV journalists were gunned down live on air. Is that where we’ve gotten to as a nation? That we give more of a fuck over what happens with corporate money than we do about the epidemic of gun violence?
