Interesting that Toronto, with all those immigrants is a thriving, vibrant metropolis. Rural Iowa, not so much…

Don’t make that mistake, she’s definitely not obscure. She’s big in the Canadian alt-right, and has been a staple on Rebel Media until she endorsed the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville. Don’t be complacent about how “popular” she is. If Doug Ford can be elected, then so can she. Just have to make sure her abhorrent views are reported on honestly and clearly.

I have a nephew who did the same thing…we don’t speak to or accept his callS…the posts he put up about POTUS OBAMA and his family ,was the most evil stuff I have seen…he lives in ARIZONA…

I have friends, dear friends, that I never talk politics with. They have been thoroughly poisoned by FOX news over the last few decades. I find as I get older I spend less and less time with them, find reasons not to visit them. They don’t really make me angry, they make me sad. Once you cut away all of the bullshit, it is about racism 90% of the time.

My family and my wife’s are loaded with Trump people. My family has always had some racist tendencies, but you’d have to go back to the 70’s even with them to see if expressed this openly. Its been a whole deevolution with them.

My wife’s family is mixed racially, so they are all about “moochers”, the “47%” and immigration.

They all get what they want out of Fox. And most think it is the ONLY real news (other than Sports Talk Radio).

I am exactly in the same boat, except I believe I am the one being cut out of one of my primary social circles, at least from most activities, probably because they usually avoid political talk when I am present. It’s an election year, and I know from Facebook that they cannot stop inflaming themselves. When the election is over, they will mostly put down their swords. It is hard to understand how or why I am even friends with all these people, but their avoiding political discussions goes a long way.

I also have a family member who has suddenly fallen into a really bad place with right-wing zealotry, and his wife is liberal. If their marriage survives the election it will be a miracle. And it makes me very sad.

It’s amazing that Steve King still supports white nationalists. Please Steve, that day has passed. Long passed. The world has changed. Steve doesn’t recognize that. Have you ever been to Toronto? One of the world’s great cities.And yes, all kinds of nationalities and colours. This is what makes the city great. Steve’s endorsement of a white nationalist for Toronto Mayor is about as meaningless as a flea on a dog. Why to Iowa voters still support this Neanderthal?
