Who will be doing oversight while he is away?
I read about this on one of those “far left” sites last night. They also commented on how convenient this is for his committee. This sudden surgery is to fix a problem surgery from 12 years ago. These guys are geniuses at gumming up the works, aren’t they?

Seems like the people I know only take off 2-3 days for this type of problem. They must not have the same insurance or time-off policy at their work.

He said in an Instagram post Wednesday he needs surgery to remove screws and pins from a foot he shattered 12 years ago.

Two things:
So obviously I don’t buy this. The timing is just too convenient. Rumors float that an ambitious career politician on the rise is on the verge of being undone by scandal, and he suddenly announces he’s not running for reelection and hints he might not even finish his term. Then he needs a surgery and recovery time that keeps him away from DC? That’s a hell of a coincidence.
What are the odds on whether he ever returns to DC as a representative?
On the off chance that this excuse is legit, he should be required to make public all of his healthcare costs and how they were covered by his government healthcare plan. All these lizards looking to harm average Americans by destroying their healthcare opportunities should have to show how they handle similar circumstances.
