Yes he’s a total hypocrite. But it’s hard to be surprised. We all know that patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.

In fact this latest incident is making me re-think the wisdom of spending a lot of time and energy following all these stupid little political exchanges (at least in my case). I’m not sure it’s any better than getting all worked up over the tide: “Oh no, it’s coming in! Thank God, now it’s going out again. Oh no it’s coming in AGAIN! Thank God, now it’s going out again. Etc.”

With that I hereby sign out as TPM commenter (at least until something just too juicy to ignore comes along).

Well that was quite an interesting article, didn’t know Rudy’s Dad was a jailbird and avoiding serving during the big war just as Rudy got multiple deferments to avoid Vietnam. Then there’s that fine moralist Rudy’s marital history, three wives, one his second cousin, affair while married, quite the family man.

So Rudy, thankfully Barack Obama wasn’t brought up like you, we dodged the bullet there. His grandfather and uncle served in WW II, his Mother raised him to be compassionate, hard working and loyal, only one wife too. Here’s the deal Rudy, you and others like you (trump, comes to mind) can’t stand Obama because he is so superior to you in intelligence, in character, in accomlishments, in temperment, etc., it makes you crazy. The best part is he doesn’t brag and strut about it either, he’s the closest to a regular American since Harry Truman held the office. Stuff it Rudy, and try to remember that patriotic Americans don’t pull stunts like this when the country is at war, you hypocritical phony.
