Discussion: READ: Barr Finally Releases Redacted Mueller Report To Public

Of course Barr spins this like crazy to support the Russian puppet. Waiting for Adam Schiff (and other Democratic Congresspeople) to pronounce on this. And waiting to see if the media report their responses in a prominent way.

The good news: Loads of redactions in the report concerning “ongoing matters,” which we hope will get investigated and prosecuted.
The bad news: The US attorneys in charge of said ongoing matters report to Barr and Barr can defund, underfund, order a halt to, order a half-assed job on, etc., any and all of these investigations–not to mention give his best buds Jay, Rudy, and Emmet a collegial heads up about what’s getting discovered.
Nadler’s job #1: Find out what each and every ongoing matter is and bird-dog DOJ mercilessly on the quality and thoroughness of the investigations.

Seriously. I can’t help wondering if the game here is to leave enough “damning” material unredacted that some people stop considering is all that important to go after the REAL shit hidden under the redactions.

I’ve been listening to them since Barr got done with his poor PR stunt.

They are reporting this quite well as far as I can tell.

They just quoted part that said “…the OSC did not determine that the Trump campaign violated any foreign influence or campaign finance laws…”

WUT?!!!

Trump Tower Moscow anyone?

Man not only is this a whitewash but it’s a really bad one.

Didn’t Reality Winner already leak that?

To be honest, I was expecting quite a bit more black boxes on these pages. I think you may be on to something.

A dash, a sprinkle, a mere soupçon of redaction.

Unfortunately, I am working and listening, so I missed that comment. What did strike me earlier is that they made a BIG point that Barr has said that the rule that you can’t indict a sitting pres was NOT applied to the case by Mueller while coming to their conclusions.

BUT …the report says the Mueller team did consult the DOJ’s counsel on this very topic.

This has been confirmed by various stories. Not only did they hack into state databases but they also changed information in some of them.

This may explain why the poll worker asked me if she’d seen me there earlier that day when I voted in 2016. Uh, no, ma’am, I just came from work…

This isn’t the first time Barr has pulled this whitewash bullshit.

Wow talk about a slow download!

Turned off MSNBC on my steam-powered desk-top to speed things up. I hope.

Then there are those of us who believe that everything should be hunted down and rooted out. I think Nadler and Schiff are going to be very, very busy for the remainder of this congressional cycle.

That’s the face of a political hack.
It’s not the face of a functioning Attorney General.

You mean I just silenced Ari Melber for nothing? :confounded:

Consider the slow download to be a GOOD thing. It shows that We The People have an exceptionally strong interest in this subject. Or it shows that the Russians and/or the GOP are trying to interfere with the download rates to keep us ignorant.

Goddamn! I have said this since the election and it’s always been as if I was tinfoil encased. I knew it.

MSNBC just said Barr should’ve stated that Trump escaped legal jeopardy by the hair of his chin.

No, Traitor Trump got away with it because the entire thing was rigged by Republican co-conspirators.
