Discussion: Rand Paul Says It Wouldn't Be 'Useful' To Probe Flynn's Calls With Ambassador

Ben Gazzi called for you Rand. He said:

“Go fuck yourself and that gerbil on your head.”

In a breathtakingly candid act of goppioni (=GOP Partisan Interest Over National Interest), Sen R Paul (R-KY) declared…

“I just don’t think it’s useful to be doing investigation after investigation, particularly of your own party,” Paul said."

Whew! He said that!

“Useful” as a matter of party.

This is on some level pretty stupid. Senators like Paul can get a lot of mileage from looking like mavericks. It’s a fine line as a Republican, but especially since his fellow senator is Mitch McConnell [the state’s senators can each compliment each other, like one can be for politics / the other more principle], he has some room.

This comes off as total hackery. It really hurts his street cred. I’m not talking among the average TPM reader here, of course. This sort of blatant party suck-up might turn off even other people.

Now if Rand was asked, he would of course agree to reinvestigate Vince Foster’s murder by Bill & Hillary Clinton. That would not interfere with destroying the fabric of the Social Safety Net. Rand Paul conclusively proved he is just another partisan turd.

4.3 million fools live in Kentucky: the size of cities.

Yet two senators?

The Founding Fathers gave us the tyranny of these rat states.

Nice try, Rand. The more investigation is resisted, the more people will believe there is something there to investigate. The GOP will have to make up its mind to sacrifice Flynn and hope that nothing worse comes of it.

This is so transparently corrupt, even Kevin McCarthy can’t believe it.

“I just don’t think it’s useful to be doing investigation after investigation, particularly of your own party,”

I’ll accept that so long as Rand and like minded GOP senators will allow the Senate Democrats to conduct an open investigation with subpoena power and unfettered access.

LOL…he’s just expressing the frustration the GOP/Teatrolls will find growing under the Trump administration as Trump and his administration continue to drag the entire party and its agenda off the rails with corruption and incompetence. He’s advertising that it is more important to him that party and agenda be placed before country and the need to address the systemic corruption and institutional dissolution that Trump’s shenanigans promise.

Nope, no reason to probe why the fuck a retired 3-Star General sat next to Putin, received cash payments from the Russian Government, then colluded with them to influence the American Presidential Election…

Nothing to see here at all.

I believe the appropriate term here is “Fucktard”

Apparently, it’s only “useful” when the target is a member of the opposition party. What a frigging hypocrite, but we already knew that. He has “®” after his name. I wonder how long the stonewalling can go on.

As more information comes out, less and less time remains to them.

Now the WaPo is reporting on a meeting before the election with McConnell and other GOP with Obama and Comey about the Russian interference in the election.

I think I picked up the wrong story. Let me dive back into the threads - nope, this is the one.

Now it’s crystal clear: there’s a set of rules for republicans and a completely different ones for democrats. Thanks for the clarification randy boy

Hey where are the red-blooded, loyal conservative Americans? where are you? when will you stop excusing all of this Putin /Russian ass kissing? in all the ways that matter, Putin and his despotic charlatans are identical to Stalin, Khrushchev, Brezhnev and all of their gangsters - the people you always though were the greatest threat to a free country …

WHERE IS YOUR LOYALTY TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ?

How much are you willing to whore out your patriotic integrity - turn hard facts on their head - just to be able to fawn all over some borderline white supremacist lunatic who you think will crack down on groups of people you don’t like

That’s about as likely as Rand admitting that libertarianism and gold-buggery are elaborate cons designed to separate the gullible and the paranoid from their wallets.

Flynn’s transgressions were apparent before he was anywhere near the pink house. He should have never been let through the door

Republicans should be tarred with their reaction to this massive security breech from now until the sun burns out

It’s absolutely horrible that we must wait until 2022 to dislodge this polyp.

He lost the major metro areas in Kentucky by significant margins. Now, we just need to show the rest of Kentucky that Rand Paul does not give a fuck about them. Not one.

Paul: “Our job is to probe made-up shit like Obama’s country of origin. Our incompetence hurts no one when we look into false threats to the nation. In fact, we have no actual look-into skills.”
