Discussion for article #240102
If that’s Rand’s idea of a “dig” it’s absurd.
You say say you’re a Libertarian … and you’re happy your party requires a"loyalty oath"??? And that makes sense to you?
Right, because begging the leading candidate to not kill the party by leaving and running as an independent is “capitulation”.
LOL
Randi must think he’s immune from being shamed in the way The Harumph is shaming Jeb! He’ll be next. Dr. Paul indeed.
Disappointing, but not entirely unexpected. I’m not saying Trump isn’t rich - but it does seem like the majority of his wealth is in real estate, and he probably doesn’t have enough hard cash to run a third-party campaign.
Here’s hoping he continues to screw over both himself and the GOP for a good, long time.
Maybe but I doubt it. Paul is too low in the polls for Trump to even bother. I suspect Carson will soon be in Trumps cross-hairs and he is the biggest threat to Trump not getting the nomination at the moment.
Says the guy with a whopping 2% in the latest Monmouth poll. He thinks that issuing a statement is going to bump him up to 3%?
Trump has too much fun issuing his broadsides, I don’t think he’d pass on even a small fish if it meant an opportunity to issue a series of tweets or an opportunity to wave his arms around at a rally.
Trump’s crazy but not dumb. He’s been ahead of these guys the entire way. To continue his hostile takeover he needs to play nice. He’s rich, but he’s going up against the RNC, the Kochs, the Bushs, Adelson and several other rich guys, and you don’t face them head on. So now, he’s parried.
I look forward to the next debate. Trump has to show his base that he’s not selling them out. Go long popcorn futures!
Rand, you are nuttier than I realized! – The Donald doesn’t “capitulate” to anything or anyone. Thems is fightin’ words, dude. Do you seriously expect Trump to adhere to that silly grade school pledge if he saw brighter skies by running independently?
I seriously doubt Trump would ever commit to an independent run due to the actual financial costs involved. Yes, Donald Trump loves himself, but he also loves his money and bragging rights about how much he has … however elusive the actual figures might be.
LOL. Yeah, it brings to mind those old trash bag commercials. "Wimpy, wimpy, wimpy. Hefty, Hefty, Hefty!"
Naw, I think Trump is savvy enough to know the more he attacks John Ellis Bush (aka "the establishment GOP) the more he bleeds Paul of his supporters. Attacking Paul only gives Paul media oxygen.
Art of the Deal, Rand–unless backed by consideration, Trump’s promise is not a contract. He is free to do what he wants come next summer.
Translation of what Paul said. Trump will lose enough support because of this decision maybe I can gain some additional support.
Not really. Trump just proved he is a looser. After answering the first question put to him in the Fox “debate”, he said he wouldn’t sign. Now he bows down to Bush, GOP and company.
Trump the great negotiator? This just put a lie to that myth.
How long will it be before Bush launches an ad pointing out that with one punch Bush decked trump?
Now that he’s down the dwarf candidates like Paul can finally reach above Trump’s ankles and start biting as we see here.
How long now before the Trump carcass is picked clean?
Why? It is never going to be you, rat hair.
“Dr. Rand Paul” ???
Are we a teeny bit insecure ?
