Discussion: Raj Shah Will Pause WH Press Job To Help SCOTUS Nominee On Capitol Hill

Nuttin

Voting in force matters

While I’ve said something similar, the larger problem isn’t necessarily ‘45’ strong armed bumbling, but his fellow Triumvirate members (McConnell and Roberts) aiding and abetting him.

I assume his first meeting will be with his supervisors at Fox & Friends.

But in the mean time you got a SCOTUS packed with rightwing fanatics ?

You are against changes to the Constitution. May I humbly suggest a mandatory retirement age for Judges, say, 70 year ?

The White House announced Monday that principal deputy press secretary Raj Shah will take leave from that role to oversee the “communications, strategy and messaging coordination with Capitol Hill allies” for President Donald Trump’s next nominee to the Supreme Court.

Really? This is one of the duties of a principal deputy press secretary? I mean, what “strategy” are we talking? Or is it just bribes and intimidation all the way down?

Who do you think would follow on their heels? Nelson in FL? Stabenow in MI?

Who provides the money in those envelopes being passed out?

Well, even though they are feckless legislative runts from red states, they do caucus with Democrats and identify as Democrats. I find myself hoping that they win and continue to caucus with the Democrats, but if they lose, I won’t be particularly surprised or disappointed. The GOP has become accomplices to a criminal enterprise, if not part of the enterprise itself. By continually bending toward the GOP, these conservadems become accomplices themselves, and then what good are they to anybody. Let the GOP and red-state voters elect their own crooks.

Voting blue en masse, matters

I’m against changes that will hurt folks in the future.

Very interesting podcast about the SCOTUS released today - Ezra Klein interviews Dahlia Lithwick. Never heard Dahlia sound this depressed before. Maybe that is why I am so depressed today.

I would recommend it but if you would rather feel good about the future…sorry, I got nothing.

Can’t wait for November to get here - at least I will know whether to start burying gold in the backyard and learning how to use a firearm.

In case you’re curious, I’m against abolishing the electoral college.

Lots of reasons, but namely, a 72 year old grandma shouldn’t have to explain why fascism is bad, yet…

So, until Americans again understand why democracy matters, nope.

“if you aren’t able in internal meetings to speak your mind … "

Because open meetings, in which everyone speaks their minds and shares ideas, is a hallmark of donnie’s, right?

No, they’re just working hard to make arson legal.

Exactly. So much noble work to do.

We call that person Dick Cheney.
