Even as a child, working on his very first training mustache, little John was never very good with models.
I feel so much safer now that John Bolton is the National Security Adviser, donât you?
Trump dumped cautious, and well briefed McMaster for this ideological, strident egoist dimwit. Great.
NK has no intention of disarming in any case (though they may try to fake it), but itâs worth noting that Gaddafi was killed by Libyan rebels following a civil war. Nukes wonât protect you against your own citizens.
â⌠ideological, strident egoist dimwit.â
At this point, what other type can he get to work for him?
War-mongering, rear-echelon pogs like Bolton could improve with a little time in the field under fire; among their many defects theyâre just too damned eager to send others into it. Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bolton, all of em: tough preppies who know how to kiss up and kick down while promoting dulce et decorum est pro patria mori for other people.
This has to be Bolton trying to sabotage any potential of an agreement so he can return to his striking North Korea first fetish, no? Boltonâs a warmongering lunatic but not stupid. Makes no sense otherwise.
Maybe. But I see a viable compromise here. Both USâ Spanky and NKâs Kim would likely agree to a Russian-supervised disarmament agreement.
Donât forget the extensive bombing campaign by NATO that enabled the Libyan rebels to succeed. Thatâs what nukes would have protected him from.
True, very true.
Sounds like a sure-fire path for Drumpf to get a Nobel Peace Prize . . . yea, right, in your dreams!
Bolton will follow the money. However Trump can benefit financially is the direction heâll go.
âŚthe North Koreans âknow what the eventual outcome of the Libyan model was, which was Gadhafi gave up the ability to put together nuclear and chemical weapons and he ended up dead.â
Nice! Iâm sure that Kim and the Iranians find this model very appealing.
Now, about that summit meeting and tRumpâs Nobel Pizza PrizeâŚ
Hi. I think youâre stupid and youâll let me take away all your toys and give nothing in return. My name is John Bolton.
Their fucking up the NoKo raproachment (fauxproachment??) is as predictable as monsoons coming to Arizona in the summer.
McMaster was the guy behind the message to trumpp DO NOT CONGRATULATE. He was told by other staffers to dumb down briefings into bullet points and the world just doesnât work like that.
National Security Adviser John Bolton said Sunday that the United States had the âLibya modelâ in mind for its future dealings with North Korea,
Recent history tells us that the Libya model will result in the removal of Kim Jong Un. According to the GOP, Libya became a safe haven for terrorists after the Obama administration ousted Muammar Gaddafi. Therefore, we should do the same thing but expect different results.
And what a monumentally stupid thing to say, for a man known for similar pronouncements.
The biggest cheerleader for the disastrous 2003 G.W. Bush Iraq invasion, Bolton keeps spouting about âregime changeâ so much that everyone in N.K. and in Iran knows what the game is about.
-
North Korea is happy to hold its nuclear trump [ha ha] cards, and it ainât de-nuclearizing, kids;
-
Trumpâs choice of Pompeo & Bolton shows he wants to discard the Iran deal, then commence military actions when Iran predictably resumes its nuclear weapons program in response. Just in time for a rally-round-the-flag War to âfire up the baseâ as the Trump 2020 Campaign swings into gear.
I read a hilarious comments section in the WaPo opinion area based on that story (that McMasterâs group kept getting the message to âthin it outâ - until it was notecards and pictures.) The proTrumpsters (always in the deep minority at the WaPo comments sections) would say that using note cards to prepare for presentations was great practice in business. Everyone else kept pointing out - No! This isnât about prepping for a speech, this is about learning critical intelligence to keep the country safe.
Okay the fact that it was funny is one seriously sad comment about our state of political affairs and discourse in the US.
