Every time Putin says something like this it shows that this KGB disinformation specialist has no intention of ceasing his cyber warfare campaigns against the West, including the efforts of his 1,000 or so social media trolls working 12 hour shifts in Russian troll factories.
Evidence? Look for social media posters with lame avatars posting pro-Trump / anti-Democratic flame-bait in broken English containing grammar even worse than that used by your typical Tea Party patriot.

In German all nouns are capitalized. Notice how the troll appears to be misusing the capitalization rule for German by applying it to English, but even in this the poster is confused, capitalizing some nouns but not others. This troll has been assigned to the Las Vegas Sun for several months.

When did America become an arm of the Putin Propaganda machine? I admit I didn’t pay attention to most of this crap. Some people might think its nice to see NBC’s Megyn Kelly (aka Faux New’s recent emigre to the peacock channel) take her new show as a spinoff to where she left off. I say, yuck. I caught the tail end of Greta Van Susteren’s interview yesterday with Rummy and thought why can’t these people just disappear for good? There has to be a price for being so wrong for so long, shouldn’t there be? NBC Universal is becoming such a disappointment these days. Chasing ratings isn’t all its cracked up to be…or didn’t they learn anything from the Faux News debacle?

Who is Putin’s intended audience with these statements? They tie him closer to Trump, even as they weaken Trump with everyone who is not a Trump dead-ender. The dead-ender 30% are the only ones who would find this at all persuasive.

Yes. “Victimizing” Russians who hacked American institutions to change an election is exactly like the Holocaust.
I don’t know if Bannon colluded with Russians on the election, but it sure looks like he crafted this statement for Putin.

No murderous oligarch can sleep comfortably at night, and even less when there is suspicion that his leadership and plans are failures.
Putin’s worries are probably much greater as well as much more concrete than Trump’s.
Did you know that Stalin died of simultaneous multiple organ hemorrhage, including his heart? I did not look it up, but as I recall: heart, stomach, brain, maybe liver. That was probably quite painful.
I’m sure Putin knows every detail of Stalin’s death.
