Hmm…and I had thought Putin wanted to keep a fig leaf of a veneer over his murderous, thuggish activities, but I guess he doesn’t care. He should be careful though. I think when the full extent of Russia’s involvement is revealed by Mueller and further sanctions are imposed by the US and other western countries, some enterprising oligarch may take his shot at Putin.

In theory, this is Putin’s last term in office. An ambitious oligarch might see the Mueller investigation as an opportunity to improve his odds to succeed Putin.
