Discussion: Pruitt Survived By Praising Trump, Who In Turn Fired Pruitt Without Speaking To Him

Itā€™s not because heā€™s messed up in the head (although he is certainly that), itā€™s because he is a f*cking COWARD.

Always has been, always will be.

Showing that sycophancy canā€™t save you

Iā€™m just shocked the salutation wasnā€™t ā€œDear Leaderā€.
On a different note, the investigations will continue, right?

Now that Shine is on board I canā€™t wait to read Sarah Sandbagsā€™ resignation letter. I look forward to reading the part where she writes: ā€œItā€™s been an honor doing the Lordā€™s work by serving the smartest, most handsome man Jesus ever put on this planet youā€™re doing so much to protect from Satan and his minions. As I run through the remainder of my unworthy life I will still be screaming ā€˜Oh, Don. Oh, Donā€™ whenever Brian (sic) and I have our quarterly conjugal visits.ā€

Wondering about that too. I hope so, he shouldnā€™t be able to escape unpunished.

Yesterday I read that Team PP is not preparing for Republicans losing the House and control of House committees in January the way Pres. GW Bush had. The article said that Pres. Bush had fired aides and appointees who might come under scrutiny or investigation. The jest was that PP should be doing that soon. By afternoon Pruitt had resigned. So this morning right wing news is saying that liberals claimed a scalp and will be trying for more. In other words they are laying the groundwork to blame PPā€™s inevitable distancing himself from accountability on Democrats.

Ah yes, Blame is so very important to the banana republicans. They donā€™t want problem solutions ā€“ they just want to dodge any responsibility.

I wonder if there is some Russian interference that they know about? Saw a cartoon in the Ron Paul tweets racist cartoon thread that was credited to Ben Garrison, who claimed the art attributed to him wasnā€™t his. So I went to look at his art. All his cartoons are soooooo supportive of donald. (Itā€™s barf worthy IMO)
Hereā€™s one:

I so wonder what is going on in peopleā€™s minds that support donald. They do live in a different universe than we do. (The up is down theory).
If there is a ā€˜red waveā€™ ā€“ then something is really wrong with our system, IMO.

whoops, read that this cartoon is by ā€œTina Garrisonā€ ā€” ?? daughter? Wife? Alter ego?

You know, this constant ā€œGodā€ reference, connected up with Trump, is so extremely weird. But rightwing ā€œChristiansā€ are like that-- total Elmer Gantrys and part of that is professing all sorts of drippy God-love. Here he applies it to the least-Christian guy ever, Trump. One would suspect this is all bogus, or maybe these people are just so shallow they really think anyone they want to cozen is godlike.
I do wonder how sincere this Trump-licking is. He must make some deal with those he fires-- an NDA maybe-- because almost none (but Omirosa!) seem willing to say anything negative, when they really must know a lot bad.

OF COURSE Donnie fired him with ā€˜talkingā€™ to his face. Donnie is a COWARD. A WIMP. A BULLY. He would run like a little rodent if he had to LOOK at the people he insults, demeans and fires.

Thereā€™s a lesson here (though itā€™s scarcely new) for other obsequious sycophants in the administration: your selfless a**licking can get you a job, but under no circumstances will it protect you from Mr Trumpā€™s ego, not for a millisecond, if he decides youā€™re a liability to his own glory.

Michael Cohen, Sarah Sanders, etc., observe and learn. Paul Manafort, in contrast, probably knew exactly whom he was dealing with, though in his own amoral egotism probably thought he could con the con-manā€¦ as heā€™s learning, now, though, heā€™s a piker at megalomania and narcissism compared to the president, and is doubtlessly weighing whether the risk of his spilling the beans is enough to get Mr Trump to preemptively pardon him, or whether the appearance of threat means Mr Trump will gladly let him dangle in various prosecutorsā€™ gaze while shamelessly saying, ā€œI know him notā€ many more than three times. Of course, if Manafort were as smart as he thinks he is, heā€™d have seen already that Mr Trump has long since cut him loose, and wonā€™t be lifting a finger soon.

November 8th, 2016 didnā€™t convince you of that?

As long as his hat was well-blocked and he was wearing pearl -gray spats, not white, I see no reason to criticize.

also, somehow itā€™s never divine providence when democrats get elected. Or, if you pray your child doesnā€™t die in the hospital, but 6 other children do die that day - unworthy little sinners all I guess.

Spent a couple of days in total dis-belief.

Rather than inside the system mechanization, my resolution was that it was a black swan event caused by

1ā€¦ highly successful disinformation campaign with anti-Hillary propaganda
2. . complacent voters
3. third party voters who donā€™t quite understand how our system ā€˜worksā€™
4. misogyny - especially the ā€˜ABHā€™ voters (anybody but Hillary)
5. voter suppression
6. media and others in showing that they were unbiased and generating huge false equivalencies
7. donaldā€™s PT Barnum (a sucker born every minute)
8. Big Lie tactics and constant repetition
9. Unquestioning, undiluted media coverage of donaldā€™s rallies
10. A lot of people easily fooled. ā€œyou can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the timeā€ Lincoln

Thatā€™s what I concluded. :confounded:

Sadly, now this bozo has become normalized. My thought is that the majority who didnā€™t bother to vote would vote this cycle, that the third party purists would come to their senses and the ones who are brave enough to realize they were fooled would vote Dem.
