Rohrabacher has long been a strident Russia defender — and the FBI reportedly warned him back in 2012 that Russian spies were trying to recruit him as an asset. The congressman brags that he once lost a drunken arm-wrestling match with now-Russian President Vladimir Putin back in the 1990s, and has defended many Russian actions viewed as dangerous by other politicians, including its invasion of Ukraine and meddling in Syria.
Is there any doubt that the Russians’ Kompromat on Rohrabacher was developed in the hours immediately following this drunken arm-wrestling match?

I’ve said before that I know people who worked with him before he went into politics. They say he is one dumb bunny. He’s a friggin’ liar and a dumb friggin’ liar to think this will buy him some favor with the Big Dogs.
He posed with some Afghans holding an AK 47 to imply he was doing some guerilla action as proxy for his draft dodging. The LA Times, much to its discredit, printed the press release with photos. The pix looked like those one takes on the boardwalk photo concession while dressed in some costume. “Yes, guys, I can fart with the Big Dogs. Just look at me!”

I don’t think Russia needed compromat for this one. He’s been a conspiracy crank his whole life, and certainly his whole political career. I wouldn’t be surprised if the didn’t get some grease the palms action, but I think he would be acting just the same with or without passage of $.

For years Orange County was one of the most right wing places in the country. Garden Grove was represented by B-1 Bob Dornan. An area with a sizable Vietnamese and Cambodian population. Folks who would have little use for Rohrabacher.

Laguna Beach is part of Rohrbacher’s district. Issa’s begins in Dana Point and south of that.
I will never understand how a Kremlin apologist like this man can be an elected Representative in Congress. Anyone who would discount our intelligence services in the face of confirmed Russian meddling in our Democracy, and would rather favor appeasing Russia does not deserve to serve in Congress.
So many facts and reasons to believe that dumbass, too, is in trouble himself. Him saying that crap confirms that he is, well, too dumb to see he is in trouble.
His removal by voters or by legal processes. Whichever comes first, I’d be fine. The sooner the better.
If the Dems can’t pick up this seat in 2018, they should just pack it in.
