Dick Cheney is single handedly responsible for outsourcing our national security. During his term as Secretary of Defense, he was approached by lobbyists for the military-mercenary complex and he set the stage. He was rewarded richly by Halliburton and became its CEO after he left office. When he became Chair of the VP Search Committee for the Lesser Bush , he identified himself to be the best candidate. He promptly started wars for Halliburton, Blackwater and the military-mercenary complex.
This experiment is a failure and has become it’s own problem. The outcome of this dive into privatization is the same as all of them. Massive failure with no responsibility.
These are no longer soldiers fighting for their country and to preserve our way of life, these are war machines with hard hearts and a itchy fingers. Is their greed or their sole reason to exist, any war any-where, the worst thing about them?
If we took away the financial incentives and the no holds barred mentality, these wanna’be Rambos would be reduced to being Peace officers in small town USA. Oh wait, they are also a problem waiting to happen there.
America is breeding a warriors for hire class and slowly realizing what a bad idea it is.
