Discussion: Priebus Defends Trump's Chummy Call With Philippine President Duterte

Did Reince mention how efficiently the trains are running in the Phillipines?

“Whether they’re good folks, bad folks, people that we wish would do better in their country, doesn’t matter. We’ve got to be on the same page,” he said.

Yes, Reince. Keep using guys like Duterte as examples and Trump will be on the same page : Of the Indictments filed at the Hague.

Posted it on the last Wrenched thread, apropos here as well.

Reince Priebus, minus vowels: RNC PR BS

We’ve worked with bad guys before, sometimes in ways that seemed forced upon us, and other times less justifiably. But I question what possible help Duterte offers with North Korea, that’s just nonsense aimed at the large segment of Americans who couldn’t find either country on a map. And you have to question Trump’s reflexive, enthusiastic embrace of autocratic killers. That’s not realpolitik. That’s being a sicko wannabe.

”This is someone with an abysmal human rights record who’s been accused of basically mass extrajudicial killings,” ABC’s Jon Karl asked Priebus.

I’m so old, I can remember when we called those “murder”…

Priebus didn’t seem like the most odious RNC chairman ever, one year ago. Today, he is more like Goebbels.
By the way, have any of you been following Eichenwald’s nearly incoherent ranting about people who call other people Nazis?
He has a point, but he is super, super pissy and frantic… not sure why.
In the end, I disagree with him when it comes to the Trump people. Nazis were not mass killers—at first. They were lot like the people around Trump, in my opinion.
I think I agree with him about speakers on college campuses, but there is the issue of deliberate provocation and violence which he hasn’t addressed. Just curious what people think.

Trump likes dictators like Duerte, Putin. Sisi, and Erdogan. He hates freely elected leaders. Why is this a mystery?

Shit, I just listened to a few seconds of Priebus (couldn’t take more).
Didn’t he sound drunk??
I’m not kidding.

"This is someone with an abysmal human rights record who’s been accused of basically mass extrajudicial killings,” ABC’s Jon Karl asked Priebus on “This Week.” “Did that not come up in the phone call?

It didn’t come up in the phone call because everyone knows that our so-called President wouldn’t understand the meaning of the word “extrajudicial.”

How do we get on the same page as Duterte? Start killing people?

“This call — the purpose of the call — was all about North Korea,” Priebus told Karl. “He’s been speaking a lot to all of our partners in Southeast Asia.”

O.K. What pro-tips is Trump going to pick up from Duterte regarding NoKo? Other than kidnapping Kim Jong Un and tossing him out of a helicopter. What sage advice would Trump be capable of delivering to Duterte about NoKo? This is like the janitors at CERN attempting to clarify the possible ranges of mass of the Higgs boson by sticking their brooms into the large hadron collider.

I’ll bet they just bullshitted to each other about strongman stuff and building permits in Manilla.

So Trump endorses violence against one’s own citizens? This is pretty horrendous.

I think the surprise bromance could be Kim-Trump.

Cat’s out of the bag, now.

And very clearly aspires to join their ranks as officially as he can make it. Other than the 2nd Amendment, I doubt there is a word in the Constitution he does not intend to violate.

Reince Priebus would defend Trump if he shot someone on Fifth Avenue for no reason, but pure hatred. He would defend Trump even if Trump urinated on his shoes. Priebus is the quintessential little lapdog . If he was not, he would no longer be working in the White House Office of Official Propaganda.
