Bear with me if this comparison seems out there but I’m reminded of movie audiences laughing at poignant moments because it’s the only response they know. Seen it plenty of times. This society, except for its more thoughtful members, has stopped being able to figure out what it stands for.

It is what I thought. Maybe I am just old and cranky but this was not supposed to be a campaign rally. This was the National BSA Jamboree. If my kid was at this event, I would yank him from Scouting. I will be emailing our local Council to express my horror that BSA would allow this kind of speech.

I watched some of the clips on Bradd Jaffy’s feed -unfreaking believable. The man was talking about a cocktail party, Hillary, the war on Christmas, fake news, Obamacare, firing Tom Price. None of that is appropriate for a BSA Jamboree.

I live on the W.Coast and our Council is very open and liberal so perhaps that is why I am so repulsed by this.
