I suppose you are not aware that the purpose of the Berlin Wall was to stop exits from the DDR. It was effective at that. All walls that I know of are one-directional in intent - keep people from going one place to another. This is not a flaw. This is the design.
This is true.
“We are in a situation where member states have acted either unilaterally or in groups to alter the level of free movement in this borderless area. Factors such as the refugee crisis and terror attacks in Europe have led several member states to reinstate border controls – including between Sweden and Denmark whose border-free zone long pre-dates Schengen. We have drifted so far away from the tenets of a border free Europe outlined in Schengen, that the European Commission has written a “Roadmap back to Schengen”. The document, penned in March 2016, would have been unthinkable even six months ago.”
False
“At the Swedish border, the obligations on transport operators to check IDs of passengers took effect on 4 January 2016. This has disrupted train travel from Copenhagen to Malmö, the main option of public transportation over the Øresund Bridge.”
I suppose that you are from some European country. You need to take off your SJW glasses and see the real situation.
Riots? Who said anything about riots? First, the protests have been, for the most part, peaceful, especially given the number of people taking part and despite the sensationalist headlines peppering the corporate-owned media. Second, the French decided that they weren’t going to settle for the American Democratic Party “Leadership”-approved way of asking their betters, “Pretty please may we have some crumbs?” They got off their butts and got into the streets. That is some serious shit-fucking in my book…
Yeah, that’s just lazy. I’ve been around these parts a long, long time…
The French peasants, which are the non-noble type persons, rise up in their righteous indignation every now and again, and cut off the heads of the betters. My friends who live in Bretagne are looking for this level of result.
Yes, so hilarious that the French drove Macron to do this:
Among the measures Macron announced to address the crisis was a 100 euro ($113 dollar) monthly increase in the minimum wage as of next year, for which businesses would not have to foot the bill.
…
Macron also announced he would roll back most of an unpopular increase in taxes on pensioners which was introduced by his government.
And he called on all businesses “that can afford it” to give employees a one-off “end of year bonus” which would then be tax free.
In another move to appease the protesters’ anger, Macron said he would do away with all wage taxes on overtime work, a measure first introduced under former conservative president Nicolas Sarkozy but later reversed under his socialist successor Francois Hollande because it was deemed too expensive.
