I feel a little better.
There is no hope. We are all doomed. Maybe part of the high school coursework should be government and how it works.
I am not sure I believe this, I high school the seventies they did a drug use survey and we all by agreement claimed we used smack lsd and weed daily. The school district was shocked. Even now someone asks me such questions I will probably bullshit them if they are irritating me, like calls big at dinner.
Why do they ask such stupid questions? I think if a poll asked me if I thought she was on the Supreme Court, I would say yes because if someone asks such a stupid question, they should get a stupid answer. I think most of them were thinking this was a joke. I would.
youâre right, there was a question âwhich one is a SCJâ or some similar wording. 61.6% of college graduates correctly picked Elana Kagan, which is lower than it should be, but itâs not like 10% of respondents offered Judge Judy. Since the question listed her as Judith Sheindlin, itâs likely that few (if any) of that 10% knew thatâs Judge Judy.

The Earth has no gravityâŚthere is no hope.
Thatâs exactly right, and this is just sensationalistic journalism that serves absolutely no one. Its National Enquirer material.
This makes sense - thanks for the link.
Way to go, TPM and some college graduatesâŚyou made me snort coffee.
Like one showing that 10% of the respondents were graduates of so-called Christian colleges?
Yep, I took a look at the questions and the basic ones were answered correctly by most people. itâ only the esoteric ones that were missed a lot.
The poll also found that 40 percent of college graduates didnât know Congress has the ability to declare war, less than 50 percent knew that presidential impeachments are tried before the Senate, and nearly 60 percent couldnât name a requirement for ratifying a constitutional amendment, according to CNN.
Theyâre learning exactly what our education system prepares them for⌠paying debt, following the expectations of those over you, and not asking too many questions about how theyâre being controlled.
Well when you use the term âuniversityâ to describe places like Liberty âuniversityââŚwho is actually surprised?
Hard to believe anybody doesnât know presidential impeachments are tried before the Senate; but yes, college age now would have been preschoolers when Bill was impeached. I feel old.
I believe it is. However, these survey participants probably didnât cram for the test.
American public life has no gravitasâŚthere is no hope.
Not only did a smaller portion of college graduates pick Judge Judy than the general population, the more educated gave the correct answer more often for every question. The college grads beat the overall population by an average of 16 percentage points. To my ears that sounds like a ringing endorsement of the benefits of higher education.
This survey was conducted back in August, and I think most of the time between then and its release was spent coming up with alarming ways to spin the results.
Poll: Nearly 10 Percent Of College Grads Think Judge Judy Is On SCOTUS
Oy veyâŚWe are so screwed.
Here is a good mental exercise, people (one wouldnât think that recentâIâm assuming theyâre recentâcollege grads wouldnât need to engage in deliberate mental exercise, but . . .), when youâre at the gym or in the shower or otherwise in a situation where youâre pretty much clearing your mind, force yourself to name the nine justices of the Supreme Court. Judge Judy will never come up on that list.
That they would name her means they donât even know how the Supreme Court works. Oh yeah, sheâs got this side gig to make some extra money . . .
Ammon Bundy: If we/she thinks she is on SCOTUS then that is true. You can always create your own country/SCOTUS etc.
Rand Paul: I concur, I created my own board which certified me as a physician.
