The one thing you can be sure of is that, when the spring tides, flood vast areas of Alabama’s and Mississippi’s coastal plain “God’s punishment” will be invoked on a regular basis.
Maybe if Jesus was resurrected or Bear Bryant rose from the dead. Uh wait probably no.
Maybe (hedging)
This is a candidate to watch for/get into
And here’s a big reason why
While “Roy Boy” should make those Sept.and Dec.matchups, either he (or Strange) will likely be facing Jones in the December h2h.
While either should beat Jones handly, it will be funny as hell, should a large Democratic GOTV effort from African American churches result in a Pence (or Trump) sighting in Dec.
That’s my thinking on it.
And let’s not forget good old Pete Wilson, of Prop 187 infamy.
Though beyond that, he is pretty forgettable.
It is too easy to forget Alabama exists. It is such a shock to be reminded that it does.
That ain’t even politics anymore - that’s rats fighting in a barrel.
Seems it is so very forgettable that time has forgotten Alabama, too.
I didn’t claim to be smart, nor that California, nor Californians, were perfect. My comment may have been interpreted as perhaps the diversity of North America in race, desires, and approaches to existence are such that this country is no longer manageable as a single entity. Can be difficult to express complex ideas in brief, quippy statements
Oh good, more proof that the citizens of Alabama should not be able to vote. Sad
It would be great for Jones to maybe have a chance. The problem is that Jones might lose the primary. There hasn’t been much polling as the Republican race has sucked up all the oxygen, but it’s widely reported he’s at least close if not losing to an unknown named Robert Kennedy.
Evidently Strange his enjoying the full effect of the Trump Bump.
Hey, maybe Moore being in the Senate will keep him from being Hair Furor’s next SCOTUS pick?
“With the Vietnam War underway, Moore first served in several posts as a military police officer, including Fort Benning, Georgia, and Illesheim, Germany before being sent to South Vietnam. Serving as company commander of his military police unit, Moore was known to be very strict. Some of the soldiers gave him the derogatory nickname, “Captain America,” because of his attitude toward discipline. His role earned him several enemies, and in his autobiography he recalls sleeping on sandbags to avoid a grenade or bomb being tossed under his cot, as many had threatened fragging the commander.”
What a shame his men didn’t frag him!
Ah, yes, what Alabamans would refer to as a race traitor.
Not a chance of winning.
“Forget it, Jake. It’s Alabama.”
…
ok
Here’s a Montgomery Advertiser article on him
Though he supports gun rights, he seems ok and he could have a puncher’s chance against whoever comes from that GOP runoff.
Now I said ‘seems’, because while i don’t have a big problem against new faces, guys who are possibly too good to be true (n Jones can be put on that list), bothers me.
Ohhh, Alabama.
