Discussion: Police Respond To Shooting At Pittsburgh Synagogue

Well the only silver lining is that the sane still out number the insane, now if only they would go vote.

Expect Fox & friends to play this as a Lefty anti-Israel attack …

Trump seems to have lost his mojo. Hopefully, we are seeing the last hurrahs of Peak Trumpism.

I’ve always thought something like this would be the solution. There are already several hundred million weapons out there, and no law is going to get them back. But treat ammunition like a controlled substance: limit production, make people qualify for purchase.

There are times when I simply cannot bear to go find out what the Trumpers are being told to think.

Almost twice as many people have voted so far in Texas than voted in '14.

Here’s an archive of Rob Bowers’ Gab account. Extreme white Christian nationalist, so extreme that he thought Trump was selling out white people to the Jews. See the “First Trump came for the Proud Boys” comment… sadly, you can’t make this stuff up.

Yes! In my lifetime, at least, Republicans have courted the Religious Right, the Tea Partiers and now the White Supremacists. Each time they think they can ride the tiger but eventually the tiger will destroy them. If it doesn’t doesn’t destroy us all first.

It’s a moment for moral clarity. I hope Democrats will loudly stand on the side of sanity when it comes to controlling access to weapons and fighting extremists and domestic terrorists.

I expect thoughts and prayers and outrage couched with statements of fealty to the second amendment from Republicans.

Beyond words, what’s unfolding now. And I fear there is more to come: that the MAGA-bomber was the signal for the crazies to start their civil war.

Words matter. We must stop this madness. Try to think about the tiny child, recently born whose family was holding a bris in their tradition that is rightfully theirs to have. Any snarking on this site or anywhere else just emboldens the maniacs in our world. Stop it. Words matter.

O let me tell somebody how much I absolutely despise Kjersten Neilsen. She is the queen Nazi bitch of the government.

This would work.

Built a home in 2014 before I learnt that my neighbor would walk to mailbox with loaded, chambered, safety off, shotgun, rifle and pistol in his hands (no sling, no holster). At least once a week he would drop one and it would fire. He told me it made him feel safe. I thought I could live with that as the MB was 2/10 mile and 350 ft below my home. Wrong, he would have friends over for “target” practice at least two times a month. They did everything but hit the target after firing thousands of rounds, yes thousands. One side of my home became pockmarked from ricochet rounds. Police told me he was fine and they used him as a safety instructor for the force, so would do nothing. Soon sold that place. Since I have learnt sold two other times and now sits empty. A tax on rounds would shut down “good people” such as this, between tobacco taxes, booze taxes and ammo taxes, I’m thinking this “man” would soon curl up in his bunker and we’d all be safer.

Trump: “At least this took the media focus off that “Bomb” stuff. NO COLLUSION!”

Adelson: The US embassy in Jerusalem and the end of the two-state solution are well worth a few Jews shot in a synagogue.

Trump approval is at 44% so your statement might be true but barely.

No. People kill people. Guns just make it much easier for people to kill people and for one person to kill many people.
