Discussion: Police Investigating Man's Death Find More Than 1,200 Guns, 2 Tons Ammo

Discussion for article #238608

“It’s not a crime to have a large number of weapons so long as they were
legal to own and legally obtained,” Smith added. “We want to make sure
that’s the case.”

Having enough weapons to equip your own private unregulated militia? 'Merica FUCK YEAH!

And it really could be legal.

Jesus. No man should have a penis that small.

Good thing the house never caught fire…

And it’s guys like this that make the statistics about each household having a gun so much nonsense.

Hope these things are pounded into material that can only be recycled and not resold and reused!

Why, exactly, is this legal? (Rhetorical question)

A new sub-genre of the Ammo-Sexuals. Gun Hoarders.
And even with all that armory, he STILL did not “feel safe”.
That says a lot right there.

This really should have been an episode of “Hoarders”. Would have been the best episode ever when they tried to take is guns away . . .

Police investigating the death of a Los Angeles man uncovered an arsenal inside his home and garage — more than 1,200 guns and about two tons of ammunition, authorities said Monday.

Wait, the guy is dead? Obviously needs more guns.

They mentioned his body, but did not mention whether they had to pry any guns from his “cold dead hands”

Ha! He sure did have the world’s largest prosthetic penis collection…

So he did have that going for him.

And yet he died alone in his car and was not missed by anybody.

Cause of death: secondhand lead poisoning.

Think you guys are missing the bigger picture: why do the police automatically seize $100s of thousands of dollars worth of possessions from a recently deceased guy’s house? Did they take his cars and furniture too? Is the excuse civil asset forfeiture? Sure there is a public safety concern with these items but they do not belong to LAPD and shouldn’t be taken as if they were!

Dead guy with a gun is still dead ------

They do not appear to be collector grade. The story doesn’t say if he has an FFL a lot of the jack offs that sell at gun shows operate out of there homes and have these kind of quantities. He may just be a Gun Show dealer then the whole thing goes from shocking to meaningless.

Whew! Glad they were just guns. For a second there I thought police found a dead guy with 1200 CATS.

You mean that much self-defense weaponry did not allow him to live forever?

Sorry, where did it say they seized the guns? I read that they were going to check them to see if they had been involved in any crimes, but I missed the part about seizing the guns.

Los Angeles Police Department Cmdr. Andrew Smith called the number of rifles, pistols and shotguns staggering. Many had never been fired and some were still wrapped in boxes, with price tags still attached.

Seems like they caught a FFL dealer, or so the evidence points to it.

Be afraid California, be VERY AFRAID!!!

Simple hoarding behavior. At least that stuff wasn’t on the street.
