Why is it terrorists at all? Evil person/people certainly, but terrorist? Just as unfounded as “ISIS is at the doorstep.” And just as non-productive.

Unless it was something personal against one of these Troopers or a beef with the Penn State Police specifically it sounds like a domestic terrorist attack. With ordinary criminal activity you want to avoid having all of law enforcement swearing that before they die they will find you. It sounds like a political statement and it happened in a rural area. If it happened in an ‘urban’ area I don’t think many people would be so even handed. I hope they find who ever did it and soon.

It’s the ambush part, I think that no matter what is very like a terrorist act. And it seems to chime with those ‘sovereign citizen’ assaults on the police and on the courts.

Well Im from texas in fact im from dallas county I have not met a racist cop in the last 25 years. Im not saying that they do not exist. Having said that I was raised in west dallas and in the 60sand 70s I saw a lot of racist cops It was bad while not all cops were racist at that time a lot of them were.
The majority of police and troopers are good people in texas at least the ones that i have been stopped by .now I can’t say the same about constables because in my part of town they are still assholes but at least they are assholes to all races. If that makes any sense.
I’m hispanic and had my share of making stupid decisions growing up and ultimately had to do some time. But I back our men and women in blue and our state troopers. They actually are class acts im my part of texas.
I know there are other parts of our country and even in texas that have police officers that should not be police officers but when you have rush limbaugh and fox new cheering these bad cops like in Ferguson and doing all they can to creat unease with our government all in the name of their selfish agenda seems to me that some politician should run on shutting these instigators up.
Its people like limbaugh, the NRA ,Fox and the tea party( the koch brothers),its them who these dirty cops like the ones from Ferguson and the lunatic followers who have killed these officers in that last couple of months get bold and commit these atrocities.

I keep hearing that the majority of peace officers are good people. Maybe if they stop shielding the bad ones, I’ll believe it.

Isn’t it ironic that in one day they can identify a known officer killed by a stranger but it took them weeks to identify a known officer who killed a known unarmed teenager. Interesting. And after a month no arrest of the known officer.

I should feel more sympathy for the fallen troopers than I do. I think the reason is because of the police brutality and suspect executions by law enforcement officers in the news lately. My heart does go out to the families of the officers for their loss.

Just another step on the road to the police state.

Arm the cops to the teeth, the predators will just wait in ambush.

You expect a criminal to walk up to them, yelling and waving their hands to get the cops’ attention, before pointing the gun?
