Swastikas have been found so there are suspected links to white supremacist groups.
All part of Obamaâs cunning âfalse flagâ operation to take away our gunzzzzzzzzz! How do we know Obama didnât GIVE the gunpeople (One of them was a woman, after allâŚ) those swastikas from his personal collection?!? Hunh? HUNH?!?
Youâre normally pretty circumspect about these things, Lestat. Are you privy to some information not in the article that would prompt you to make such a leap? Iâm certainly not defending Fox or any other gun mouthpieces, but it just seems that we donât really know any of the motivations here yet.
EDIT: From the Las Vegas Review Journal:
âSunday night Metro homicide investigators and FBI agents cordoned off and were searching a small apartment complex at 110 S. Bruce St., about four miles from the shooting scene. A resident of the complex said he had spoken with a man who lived in the apartment being searched. He said the man appeared âmilitant,â and often talked about conspiracy theories.â
Never mind, Lestat. I have my answer.
And your point would be⌠what?
And neither do they, which leaves them all kinds of openings to (a) blame Obama for creating a lawless environment by not letting Bowe Bergdahl die in an Afghan prison â as God intended, (b) blame the government for being so darn mean to Cliven Bundy (even though heâs a racist, and NOBODY at Fox is racist, nosireebub), (c) call the attackers âcriminals⌠and NO LAW can stop criminalsâ, or (d) all of the above.
I was quoting from news reporting in a Las Vegas newspaper website, read it for yourself. How dare you think I would write something this inflammatory.
I suspect it was snark.
Wasnât there a report by Homeland Security that said right-wing militias would be a major problem? Werenât the authors pressured to take it back? Sounds like they might have been spot-on.
Edit: Yes, there was:
Walmart was the closest place where the perps could reload. And at the lowest prices too. Win/Die
Save money. Live bet⌠well, maybe live better.
And from the Las Vegas Review-Journal
The man [the male shooter] told Monroe [a neighbor of the shooter] he had been kicked off Cliven Bundyâs ranch 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas while people from throughout the U.S. gathered there in protest of a Bureau of Land Management roundup of Bundyâs cattle.
Pretty sure that itâs snark, Blue. I read some of the comments below the article. Lots of hate, claims of false flag operation, racism, projection. There are poisons that dwell in the mud. Some of them are hatching out and I donât think Iâm going to sleep well tonight. Peace.
Iâm sure Fox and their trolls would find a way to blame the New Black Panther party, all two of them. Just because.
No, if I want to lose my money I can always go to Vegas.
The Review-Journal reported that the female suspect shot one of the officers from behind at close range while he was refilling a soft drink. She then shot the other officer as he drew his pistol. The other officer fired of a shot before dying.
Do you eyes in the back of your head? Or, maybe you have a sixth sense others donât have.
So much for âthe good guy with the gun stopping a bad guy/gal with a gun.â
Fux News is reporting that these two were white supremacists. Loyal viewers, I would guess. Probably had the Fux logo burned into their TV screen.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal the two suspects were wearing confederate t-shirts and after killing the officers stripped them of their guns and badges and covered them with a âGadsden flagâ â which is yellow and ordained with a coiled snake that says âDonât tread on meâ.
At the Wal-Mart the male and female shooters exchanged fire with a citizen who had a concealed weapon. No one is sure whose bullet killed the innocent bystander in the Wal-Mart doorwayâŚ
The reply from the paranoid gun nuts, fox news, and conservative talk radio will be that this must be some kind of âleft plantâ to make the teeeee party and conservatives look bad.
This is tragic beyond belief where we thought these incidents only happened in 3rd world countriesâŚ
A few things you wonât hear from the NRA or from the fantasy-driven gun nuts:
One, itâs very easy to start deadly mayhem with a gun. Itâs much, much more difficult to stop it.
Second, if your business model involves whipping people up with tales of police officers and government officials as jackbooted thugs trying to enslave you, unstable people are going to slip over the line and do this stuff. Itâs entirely predictable. The innocent dead are just collateral damage to the NRA and the gun manufacturers. Itâs time, and long past time, for a severe backlash.
Third, one of the things theyâre reporting, and at this stage itâs all pretty unreliable, is that the male gunman sometimes would dress up as Peter Pan. This guarantees weâll hear from the NRA down to our local trolls that the only real problem is mental illness. Just cure that and weâre golden. Trouble is, eradicating mental illness is another toughie. Iâve encountered hundreds of mentally ill people; often theyâre babbling on street corners. Anecdotally and statistically theyâre not much more trouble than regular people. People who want to shoot you with gunsâoften because of uncontrolled anger and foolish misconceptions, not whatâs clinically understood as mental illnessâare the real problem. There are mentally ill people in every society. There arenât massacres like this occurring commonly anywhere but here. Thatâs because of guns. Not mental illness. Guns.
Very good question. I will be interesting to see what connections are turned up for these two in the course of the investigation.
