ESPECIALLY when I am in the middle seat, I am 240 pounds and 6 fott one and without the recliner I am very uncomfortable.
Your post says a lot more about you, you self entitled asshole. Where do you get the right to tell someone they canāt recline the seat that they paid for? If you donāt like the seat arrangements, buy first class or donāt fly.
I am not saying be inconsiderate about it - of course look back and give the person behind you time to adjust or move their stuff, and if itās a"large" person, take that into consideration.
But no⦠āoffice workā doesnāt take preference over my comfort - why should I be subsidizing your employment?
Save your laptop antics for the airport or at the office, or fly first class if you are that damn important.
Iād say you prove my point.
You may very well be considerate. But I think you also know exactly the kind of passengers Iām talking about, and I think you probably also know itās not just a case of a few bad apples. And by the way, I donāt say what I say because I want to work on my laptop. Thatās got nothing to do with anything Iāve had to say. Itās just astonishing to me how little sense people have that theyāre not in their own living rooms and how free they feel to take their own comfort at someoneās elseās expense. As if reclining an extra inch or two makes any difference anyway.
Yes, it actually makes an enormous difference if you want to sleep.
The 1% win again.
They are in First Class or private jets, so they donāt have to put up with any of what the commenters here are complaining about. Furthermore, they own the stock that is rising in value as the airlines stuff more rows into planes and find creative ways to extract more revenue from passengers without providing any additional value.
And then, they get to enjoy watching us fight each other and snarl at the poorly paid flight attendants as we absorb the downside of higher airline profits.
P.S. : Donāt want a seat reclining in front of you, and donāt want to pay for a non-economy seat? Learn how to get a seat in an exit row, assuming the airline would judge you appropriate for such rows.
