My lovely wife and daughter marched in Chicago yesterday, said it was the most uplifting experience of their lives…

Makes me proud…

Here’s hoping this is just the first taste of what 2017 has in store for Trump, Bannon, Putin, Farage, Le Pen, et al.

Most. Uplifting. Event. Ever.

LA organizers expected 80,000 and got largest number, 750,000. The one I went to expected 750-850, which was later updated to 2,000, and got 8,000.

The signs were awesome. But nowhere near as cool as seeing the Sea of Pussyhats.

My favorite sandwich board. (Thanks again to Abby for letting me take her picture(s).)

Chicago participants in Grant Park were told the march was cancelled because there were too many people assembled. But the crowd was so ‘yuge’ that it was easy for folks leaving the event to spontaneously take over the nearby streets. Here’s a bunch of them parading north on LaSalle from Jackson. There were throngs marching on other thoroughfares throughout the Loop.

I marched in Seattle with over 150,000 and was so proud to be there. These marches are an incredible statement but did Congress pay attention.

My adult daughter and I are somewhere in that crowd. Proud to share in passing the torch to new generations.

Yes…let’s hope so.

Not sure this made it into the US news, but LePen, Wilders and Petry (French, Dutch and Germany RWNJs) had a meeting of rightwing radicals in Koblenz here in Germany over the weekend. They believe that the Orange Horror’s win means that history is on their side now.

Luckily they were met with mobs protesting their meeting…

There is no telling at this point.

Indivisible is planning a National Day of Action tomorrow – the goal is overload the Capitol switchboards and e-mail systems. I’ll be doing my part, and I hope all TPMers will do likewise.

I’ve been enjoying seeing all the colorful, bold, and creative signs. A nice contrast to the bland, homogeneous, printed signs provided to all the tea party grass roots activists by the Koch brothers.

Couldn’t make the March, but watched it all day. Made a donation to CREW this AM. I’m hoping the suit will at least force a release of his tax returns.
