It’s funny how every time I see how the president is acting like a humble, gracious citizen of the world, in my head I simultaneously hear all the coming FOX News headlines about how he’s “being subservient to other leaders”, “making Muslim gang signs”, and otherwise destroying America.

It is sad that my first thought on looking at these photos was NOT “how wonderful” but instead “What will the trolls and Repugs decide to make of this.” 6 years of their hateful words have seeped into everything. That said, I LOVE the photo of Obama’s namaste.

With the Republican cast of characters considering a run for the White House, would any of them be able to carry themselves with the grace, intelligence, savvy and respect as President Obama? Think about it: Sarah Palin?? The others?? Oh, the humanity!!!

Right, that greeting is best known for being done at the end of yoga practice because, after all, what a few million Americans do is vastly more important for putting it into cultural context than how that greeting is used and understood by hundreds of millions of people in the country the president is visiting, you ignorant shitkicker.
