Discussion: Phoenix Mayor: Trump's Rally Speech 'Did Continue To Divide This Country'

How do you reason with the unreasonable?

I was just reading the WaPo account of the rally and the audience inside apparently lost interest in Trump’s raving about halfway through. Hundreds left, many sat down on the floor and started looking at their social media feeds and in general the more he raved the less interested they were.

Been wondering when they were going to get bored with the same shit over and over.

The first two are unquestionably untrue.

The mayor of Phoenix doesn’t need to reason with trump. He needs to find things to say that brings both sides closer together

Maybe they just had stuff to do? It wasn’t a concert, there’s no need for people to stay to the end. Am pretty sure trump made the points he wanted them to hear in the first minute.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha you’re a laff riot.

Interesting. So you don’t think that trump had two messages in that rally: one for the attendees - ā€˜average Joe public’, and one for consumption by the media and everyone who can be bothered to watch the whole thing. Because if he had one message for the audience in the rally, and another for the media, he’d obviously give the physical audience message first, and the media one second. And if that is obvious, then it makes sense some people would leave once he’d given the physical audience message, and not bother staying for the media message. They can obviously read about the media message in the media afterwards. So people leaving early isn’t a sign of anything going badly.

Sure it isn’t.

This is interesting. Kind of shows that maybe it wasn’t so much Hillary pushing white guys away that a lot of folks claim as much as Trump pulling them in.

This is every one of your posts, Ukie. A bunch of howlingly ridiculous nonsense masquerading as a logical argument. Do you mind if I call you Ukie instead of mcguinness? I’m used to calling you Ukie. Anyway, your posts are always a teetering pile of false premises leading to increasingly absurd conclusions. Everyone knows it. Do you know that everyone knows it? (Including the mods, by the way. They know as much as you do about TOR and VPNs and so forth.) I’m honestly curious. Don’t you realize that?

Flagged. Kindly refrain from addressing me again.

Flagged for what, exactly? I’m pretty sure posters are allowed to critique each other here.
