Is revocation of bail subject to a Presidential Pardon? Trump’s lawyers are researching this very morning.

If he’s lucky, which he will be, he will spend his entire time in protective custody. That means: segregated with minimal contact, alone in his cell 23 hours-a-day, every day.

It’ll be very lonely. Poor bastard.

Anybody remember what happened to Jeffrey Dahmer when he demanded he be released from PC into the general population? Yeah, me neither.

“Pharma Bro” has no redeeming qualities. Not a single one.
This entitled little man believes that he is smarter than the rest of the world and can do anything he wants to do. One of the slams on Hillary Clinton is that she reminds men of their first wife. This guy reminds teachers of their most obnoxious student who only cared about getting the A–not if he learned anything or mastered any skills.

He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison, though the term could end up being shorter under federal sentencing guidelines.

This, of course, makes pissing off the judge a brilliant legal maneuver. Guidelines, schmuidelines, there’s nothing to prevent the judge from giving him the max.

His “offer” was not a joke. It was a threat.

Let’s all remember that he’s being sent to prison for not extorting enough money from desperately sick people and their insurance companies. (Well, technically for lying about how much he was going to profit from the extortion…)

This guy will do anything to get attention.

“We believe the court arrived at the wrong decision, but she’s the judge and right now we will have to live with this decision,” he said.

Wow! An attorney for a right winger who actually understands the power of a federal judge!

The attorney has probably had his fill of this smarmy bastard too…

Ha ha ha, he was just JOKING about committing assault! He just can’t shut his overprivileged asshole mouth.

This pampered slimy slug is not going to enjoy jail at all. Cons don’t like smug assholes who make it impossible for children with AIDS to get their medication. No internet for you, bro. Get ready for your maximum sentence.

Stung by the bee of reason … with no epi-pen …oh darn —

Not sure the A made the difference. It was the opportunity to engage in sadistic taunting while preening and sabotaging classmates. A threefer for a narcissistic sociopath.

Yeah, there is. For one thing appeals have successfully reduced many out-of-range sentences. Also, there’s her reputation to consider. I don’t think she should substantially exceed the max under the guidelines given what they’ve chosen to allege and prove including amount of loss to victims and such. A little beyond for well-stated reasons will make a point, but pushing too far might not end as well. Now, if the absolute max is supportable within the guidelines, I would love to see the judge go for it, with a really juicy dressing down at the sentencing to boot.

I’d love to see people pointing at him and laughing their asses off when he’s escorted to his new digs. Unfortunately, that could take a long time unless there’s both the authority and a basis in fact to deny him bail on appeal. Not at all familiar with federal law there.

Given that his bail pre-sentencing was $5mil and revoked, I shouldn’t be surprised if there were a basis for keeping him in prison during his appeal. No question he’s a flight risk, highly likely he has cash stashed elsewhere. And a danger to the community.

Or maybe GPS monitoring, if it were connected to a device of some kind.
