Discussion: Perry On Trump: Offers A 'Toxic Mix Of Demagoguery And Nonsense'

Jesus, Perry is so completely blind to his own g*ddamn base! It was Perry who was practically BOOED off the stage in '12 when he said something to the effect that people needed to be slightly more understanding to immigrants problems.

He was lucky the audience didn’t have ropes and pitchforks.

GOPerstein’s Monster has come back to terrorize the whole Republican village. I hope they are all eaten alive!

He should know!

““I have a message for my fellow Republicans and the independents who
will be voting in the primary process: what Mr. Trump is offering is not
conservatism, it is Trump-ism – a toxic mix of demagoguery and
nonsense,” Perry said in a statement released Thursday afternoon.”

Says a former GOP governor who is a member of the party that includes RWNJs, open carry idiots, anti-Muslim … anti-gay bigots, racists, Sarah Palin, Louie Gohmert, Steve King, Lindsey Graham, and Donald Trump …are we beginning to see a pattern here?

‘Toxic Mix Of Demagoguery And Nonsense’

Pretty much applies to every Republican candidate, innit? No sense of irony need apply.

Perry can’t be serious. That’s the very definition of the GOP. He’s giving Trump credit for living up to the highest standards of Republican ideology.

I do believe that Perry has again coined the phrase that will haunt whatever nominee Republicans decide to run. He will be a vulture capitalist who is a toxic mix of demagoguery and nonsense.

The GOP has so many regional variations of the same candidate. Some are more toxic than others but the key components are there in all of them.

“I have a message for my fellow Republicans and the independents who will be voting in the primary process: what Mr. Trump is offering is not conservatism, it is Trump-ism – a toxic mix of demagoguery and nonsense,”

I like that, the sound of it has a ring to it, like dipshit, we can call in idiot activity someone plans “Ah enough with the Trumpism get real”

And so the GOP strategy for dealing with Trump emerges. They are luring him into doing what they themselves are so reluctant to do…punch down. Bush, Walker, etc. don’t want to get into a shouting match with Trump via the media, because it only elevates him to their level (or drops them to his is probably a better analogy).

But Trump will strike out and everybody. So, they have the also rans, of which this clown car is overflowing, start throwing the punches. Trump getting into arguments with Perry only hurts the perception of him as a viable front runner. But he will…he will get into arguments with everyone of them if they speak out against Trump.

Perry acted like a complete demagogue when he was pushing for Texas to secede. NOW, that Trump laid into him for his nonsense, he wants to try and be a sane adult in the room. Too late Good Hair, as big of an ass as Trump his, he nailed your sorry butt!

I don’t know. Maybe the glasses do make him smarter. Even if it’s hypocritical of him, I agree with him about trump.

Couldn’t agree more. There are no actual conservatives in the Republican race, except possibly for Pataki. Hillary should win the real conservative vote in a landslide, leaving only the mouth-breathing, reactionary anarchist vote for the GOP nominee.

You’ll notice that it took Perry a full month to make this statement after Trump’s “rapists” speech. Obviously, that month was spent trying to teach Perry the word “demagoguery.”

Four years ago I was thinking the roster of GOP candidates had reached the high point of wackiness. Seems I was wrong.

Governor Oops! has just described the modern GOP perfectly.

A toxic mix of demagoguery and nonsense, indeed.

This is the New [glasses] Perry, and he likes his nonsense served neat, without the demagoguery.

Unfortunately, that option isn’t available in the red states.

“Perry Slams Trump As A ‘Toxic Mix Of Demagoguery And Nonsense’”

Ok, this is just too easy, but here goes:

Coming from Rick Perry, that’s really saying something!
