What he doesn’t get is that if the public lost confidence in their DA, it was the public’s job to refuse to re-elect her. It was not his job to become king and decide who gets to serve the public and who doesn’t. That’s where the illegal act occurred. It was in his statement that he had to act because he had to act for the people. That wasn’t his charge. The legislature appropriated money for her office to investigate and prosecute corruption. He didn’t like her and wanted her replaced with someone who would look the other way at his own shenanigans. He acted as king and not as a public servant. That is illegal in this country, even in a state as backwards right now as Texas.
Th repub mantra …double down on stupid…This is not about the veto , ricky, but about the attempted extortion and threats!
Can’t wait to see the mug shot!
I am very curious whether in his time as governor any ‘other’, perhaps republican official was arrested dwi and spent a night in jail or something similar and he asked them to step down or lose funding or made any other type of threat.
Just want to see if ‘he’ was being impartial in his application of this veto??
So would Lizzy Borden.
I’ll bet the Grand Jury would also make “exactly the same decision.”
this is what republicans do - they break the law and constitution and then blame it on politics and the media actually believes it
I keep thinking of Lisa Simpson’s science project: Which is smarter, Bart or a hamster? “Ow, ow, ow, ow…”
Um…what ever happened to somebody saying they couldn’t comment because the matter is in litigation?
Obama framed her. Everyone knows that.
It is important to always double down. Even on doubling down.
