She should resign - right after the Texas Attorney general currently under indictment does the same.
Oh wait - she’s a woman and a Democrat so therefore not really the same? The hypocrisy is mind numbing!
So interesting that when Repubs refuse to step down, it’s accepted by both sides, for the most part, that being charged may be politically motivated and that fairness dictates that the accused be convicted first before being punished. Innocent people regularly get charged, but not convicted. Kinda the whole point of “innocent UNTIL PROVEN guilty”, which we all know that, thanks to the media, died a slow and painful death years ago.
Funny how when Dems are charged, people expect them to resign immediately, because someone accused them of something. If I were her, I’d fight it too, unless she knows she’s guilty, in which case, she should step down.
Can’t she just take a leave of absence? An acting AG could then cover. And, it’s certainly possible that the indictment won’t stand, so her LOA would be relatively short. If she can’t get the charges dismissed on procedural grounds, then it would be time to resign.
By not resigning, she must believe she is innocent.
Why should she resign? Have they not heard of “Innocent until proven guilty?”
