Trump International in DC si booming…with US Government business already! Some of the priciest rooms in the city…and conference center rooms are even pricier.
Just glad there’s no conflict of interest…YIKES!
But the real boondoggle is the planned Trump Tower in Taipei at the new airport and commercial zoned area at that airport. Trump, with a lot of help from Bob Dole’s lobbying firm, is securing the inside track on that new tower AND tax breaks from the Taiwanese officials.
Nixon was a crook that got busted. Trump is a crook on scale that makes Nixon look like a boy scout. Nixon released his tax information and paid taxes. Trump refuses to release his taxes AND he hasn’t paid any Federal Income taxes in 18 years! Plus he dodged the military draft THREE times. This is a total nightmare scenario.
And then we have the Trump Foundation…it can’t even be rated due to lack of transparency and any up to date financial statements. It’s to the point where the Trump Foundation has been ordered to stop all fund raising activities until it submits financial statements. In contrast, the Clinton foundation is a FIVE star rated charity…doing a lot of good things AND they file 992B’s each and every year and fully disclose their sources and uses of funds. There is ZERO transparency of the Trump Foundation…but we do know he took $ 30 M to pay legal fees related to the Trump U. fraud cases. Trump is a con and a complete crook…Nixon is envious.
The Republicans made a crisis out of Hillary’s emails…even after the FBI investigated not once but twice and found nothing. Plus, we know Colin Powell and Condi Rice both had their own private email server’s and Clinton followed their lead. Republicans…masters of voodoo economics and voodoo with hunts of Democrats.
You do remember I brought this up 4 days ago? You replied to that post also. I believe you thought I was gullible for thinking
they would actually invest the 16 million.
No going back, yes, it seems, if consumers go for this. Like Walmart, it has the potential to be community destructive. But in other ways, it could be good. Local farm suppliers could list their wares beside the trucked-in fare from far away. Makes it easy to compare. Cost would be a factor, but when all options are laid out side by side, pocketbook doesn’t always win. In the quiet of the private shoppers voting booth, the environment can. There are many who keep their car because it’s hard to transport essentials like food. This solves that problem. Less cars, less pollution, more money to make better choices.
I think the whole notion as to what it means to work for a living will have to be re-examined. When there is nothing left for people to do the only way they will be able to survive will be some sort of minimum guaranteed income. There will be those that would just soon they not survive, of course, until “they” becomes themselves
But, it will be instantly admitted, Civilisation has increased man’s producing power. Five men can produce bread for a thousand. One man can produce cotton cloth for 250 people, woollens for 300, and boots and shoes for 1000. Yet it has been shown throughout the pages of this book that English folk by the millions do not receive enough food, clothes, and boots. Then arises the third and inexorable question: If Civilisation has increased the producing power of the average man, why has it not bettered the lot of the average man?
