And I wouldn’t bet against Maxine getting her way either - she said yesterday that when the Democrats retake Congress first thing she intends for them to do is impeach Trump. Then they are going after Pence.

a) Popular with evangelicals (except for some in his own state);
b) dumber than a box of rocks (only seems smart when compared to trump) - can be worked around;
c) would agree to run with Trump (unlike Kasich) because there was no secret that he wants a chance to be pres - and would sell his soul for that shot.
All that said - gain some voters and get mr. malleable.

I don’t think he can kick him out. Could announce that he wouldn’t run with him in 2020 and bully (like Sessions), but doubtful.
Per the Waters scenario - then we get President Ryan - and all is lost per social security, medicare, medicaid, etc. Leave the dumb incompetent Pence in place to bumble through the last two years and keep reinforcing the public sentiment that Gop can not govern and shouldn’t be given the reins of power for decades.

Ha - this smells like total rubbish. The clue is in the caveated ‘if trump decides not to run’. Obviously in that scenario anything might be on the table, but that would be a completely foolish thing to in any sense begin planning for now.

The only way the Dems can impeach Trump is to take over Congress, since the GOP will never do it. And if Trump and Pence are both impeached by a Dem Congress, Pelosi becomes president.
And even if Ryan DID become president, going after Social Security and Medicare would mean his body would be hanging from the Washington Monument.
