Discussion: Pence Defends Trump Attacks On Media: He's Willing To Challenge Detractors

Defending himself against challenges? Wait a minute. Where I am from, banning people that are challenging me isn’t defending oneself, unless you appreciate the ostrich method.

“After all, Pence is a man whose administration actually tried to start a government propaganda organ for the state of Indiana.”

Trump’s always willing to speak Alt-Facts to the gullible on everything.

If the source of your disagreement with someone is alleged inaccuracies in what they say about you you address the inaccuracies, you don’t label them an enemy. If my superiors at work criticize my work unfairly, in my viewpoint, I point out how I think their perceptions or methods of measuring my performance are faulty. I don’t accuse them of being my enemy.

This morning NPR featured a segment with Gorka commenting on Trump’s speech. I had to turn it off, the man is such a fetid stew of bad traits and opinions, with a fabulist history of his own imagination. Anyone located to recall past dealings with him recounts experiences wholly at odds with Gorka’s own retelling of them. NPR should really have higher standards, but alas it’s a shell of it’s previous century’s iteration.

Oh, all of that unfair criticism! No other president ever got any unfair criticism before Trump. It’s not called “challenging detractors,” it’s called “having a thin skin and lashing out.”

And when fair criticisms come Trump’s way, such as for the Trump University grifting scheme, he responds to those by settling in court, probably with a gag clause on the plaintiff.

Like the story about Trump knowing Flynn lied to Pence for about 3 weeks before Pence found out in the Washington Post? (That being true looks bad for Trump. That being false looks bad for Pence - Which is it, Mike?)

Give Evil Chuckles Santa credit for knowing where the Ovderton Window is and how to move it. Destroing the Republic one day at a time.
Orange Pustule Hitler is driving a gigantic Shit Wagon and everyone who jumps on will eventually fly off all covered in it.

Pence is the living definition of “the banality of evil.”

Thank you so veryyyyyyyy much.

This strategy was proven successful with Conway (and to an extent, Spicer), but if the press really, really want to either figure out, solve or get rid of 45, make his surrogates defend his a—.

The only thing Donald challenges, Mr. Pence - a man so white that Clorox just throws up its hands in embarrassment - are the known definitions of sanity and reason.

NPR is FoxNews with government funding.
I can’t believe anyone is naïve enough to believe NPR is some unbiased media outlet. Next they’ll have David Duke to comment on the work he did to advance the cause of voting rights for blacks in America.

I value my local station for the non-news programming I could never hope to find on a commercial station. TED Talks, Fresh Air, The Moth, RadioLab, This American Life. I hate to sound like a commercial, but all the above gets me through a lot of drive time and gym sessions. I’ll cope with their lame news slants to have access to the rest.

Pence is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. But since he’s standing alongside Trump, that doesn’t matter much.
