Maybe she should run for president. :scream:

ā€œThe President wanted to put someone on the bench who would not legislate from the bench, who would not, as has been too much of the case in the last generation or more, where we’ve had members of our federal judiciary who literally have been making policy and making law from the bench,ā€ [Pence] added.

legislate from the bench = issue rulings we don’t like

Manafort picked him to run for VP?

These people are fricking incompetent.

America deserves so much better than these embarrassing clowns.

J. Danforth: ā€œI believe we are on an irreversible trend toward freedom and democracy – but that could change.ā€

I’m convinced the entire Quayle vice-presidency was nothing but a Jack Handey performance-art piece.

Mommie’s Dearest is repugnant but it’ll be a weird moment if and when he replaces PPee. I’ll hate him only a little less than I do than the occupant.

We can thank Danforth for Clarence. I remember him sitting in the audience during the hearing and imagining how proud he must be of his prodigy and the Coke can workplace repartee.

Personally, I believe Roe should be secondary in an effort to pick up Sens Collins of Maine and Thanks Dad of Alaska. The Democrats should focus on Kavanaugh’s opinions on the president being charged with a crime which if it doesn’t get any votes can be used as a club to hit GOP senators in the head as putting a presidential Enabler on the Court…

Quayle: ā€œI believe in term limits for members of Congress, especially for members of the House and the Senate.ā€

Yes, he really said it.

Do they think we are stupid? What’s wrong with at least saying ā€œHe was selected with every hope that he will vote to reverse Roe v. Wade.ā€ Surely that minimum is a fact. If they are so convinced this is the winning stance, why won’t they just proudly own it?

So will the committee get to wade through all of Kavanaughs emails and other documents while he was a Bushy? Durbin wants Kavanaugh’s hide for lying to the Judicial Committee when he went through confirmation hearing for a judgeship on the US Court of Appeals for DC. A little something about ā€œformulating the Bush administration’s detention and interrogation policies (in a word, policies authorizing torture) in the aftermath of 9/11.ā€
