Just because Pence stated out as a RWNJ Hate Porn Radio host and decided to enter politics doesn’t mean he has to answer these questions. These questions are for the nerds in the Reality Based community and he is out way ahead Making History we all will write about someday. No fair! The system is rigged. Rigged system. Rigged.

Not sure how old you are, but the Village Voice ran a political comic strip by Mark Stamaty back in the 1980’s that featured a character that was a politician named Bob Forehead. Pence is one of those politicians who fits that mold perfectly physically and mentally.
Not really. Conway has been receiving a lot of credit for the fact that she has the preening disdainful sneer that republicans love so much, down pat. But she has only been able to show that off because Hillary had a bad week. Now Trump is starting to take it on the chin again, and once again, she is coming across frazzled, and losing her composure.
The longer Trump is on defense, the worst she is. I expect she will be toxic by the end of the election, but not because of association with Trump, but because she ends up redefining “Incompetent Mess” by November.
And slightly off topic, it still irritates me to no end that people in the media continue to refer to her as a campaign manager. Everyone who has ever followed or reported no politics can plainly see she is not a campaign manager in any way, shape or fashion. Likewise referring to Bannon as a “campaign CEO”…the only CEO campaigns have is the person whose name is on the ballot. And I still have yet to see that Bannon does anything at all.
Agreed, Pence is certainly not highly intelligent by any means, but he is reasonably smart, something Palin is not.
To be fair to the Chicken Littles, PEC is a lagging indicator. This is intentional in order to neutralize the outliers. And Clinton’s numbers there have been falling: she used to be at about 90% with around 340 Electoral Votes. The most recent polls (not yet absorbed or at least fully absorbed by PEC) have been better for HRC. Are those outliers or a return to normal? It’s too early to tell which is exactly why PEC chooses to be a lagging indicator. It’s time to be a bit nervous but not (yet?) time to freak out.
PS. To be fair to you, you weren’t responding to a freak out about this election, but to 2018. Yeah, a little early for that.

Well, it’s because she’s a also a pathological liar, an inveterate cheat, and completely innocent of any knowledge or skills needed to be a real press secretary!

Like someone that repeats “Believe me,” if you have to constantly remind people that you support a free and independent press … you probably don’t really support a free and independent press.
Every politician spins and stretches the truth. The ease with which Republicans and particularly the Trump campaign just flat out lie to our faces is still breathtaking. The contempt they hold for the American public is palpable.
Poor old Pence. Looked into the water and saw blood. Oh, dear.
Remember if Trump wins, Pence will be “running” the country. This is the payday he’s hoping for.
