Me? I trust Barr as much as I trust Donnie.
Keep the pressure on, Madam Speaker.
Thank you, Madam Speaker.
If you’re a Republican, law-breaking, elected official, Barr is your best friend: Iran-Contra and now Spanky-Gate. There are plenty of reasons why Republicans trust Barr, and why no rational people do. Kick him to the curb!
More of this, please.
Just wait till the redacted (formally Mueller) report comes out. If you think Barr is crap now, it’s only going to get worse. The Dems need to visit some radical thinking.
ditto, and it is great to have Nancy around!
And sad to be turned out to be wrong about Barr. I assumed that given his good reputation (or relatively good, he was involved in the pardons for the Iran-Contra folks) that he was not taking this position to act as a hatchet man for Trump, making him unemployable at his old cushy lawfirm when he was fired/termed out at DOJ. Yet, Barr is doing things that are likely to end up with his law license pulled. Boy was I wrong about Barr…
The understatement of the day
you win Nancy
keep it up all day everyday
Lead us home, Nancy. This place we’re in now is not a good place.
A lot us were…and he is wrong to do this. Not very many A.G.'s get called out by the Speaker of the House as untrustworthy only a few months into the job.
“I do not trust” has a permanent feel to it.
I hope we can trust Mueller. My cynicism of any and all top level Republicans has reached a dangerous level.
Between Barr’s deceptions and Trump’s rage I think we can triangulate a guess about that while we wait.
Word.
Thank god Mommy showed up. hahahahahahahahahahahaha The kids were getting out of hand.
And Trump’s rage and increasing batshitness speak volumes to me about where we really are.
“He is not the attorney general of Donald Trump. He is the attorney general of the United States,” Pelosi told AP. “I don’t trust Barr, I trust Mueller.”
I’m still a Pelosi fan, butttttttttt
One cannot help but wonder what Mueller thinks of all this. I’m betting many members of his team are pretty angry.
Ds should hint at immediate impeachment proceeding on Barr. Yes, he can be impeached and he’s already abused his office with the 4-page summary where he overstepped his authority in making a finding in Trump favor on obstruction of justice. Given that he got the job via a pro-Trump memo to Trump on exactly this point, he lied to the Senate in confirmation hearings and the House never got the chance to wade in.
At least by impeaching Barr, they have a basis to get EVERYTHING he’s touched, including the un-redacted Mueller report, to investigate whether he and Trump conspired to obstruct its rightful release and subvert Congress’s authority to impeach Trump.
Mueller didn’t demand testimony from Trump.
I don’t trust that this is the investigation that went where the facts lead, and I don’t understand why Pelosi does.
Yeah yeah I hear ya - you don’t trust Mueller either?
What I see is the Barr side of it is to drag all this out as long as possible, lie, deny and obfuscate. He’s not on the side of justice, he’s on tRump’s side and if it’s up to him no one will ever see the real Mueller report. He needs to go and I seriously think that there has to be some serious talk of impeachment of tRump. I know, I know, the Senate won’t vote to convict, I’m just saying, start doing something to make things more real.
Otherwise, we’ll have the criminal running for office again and hold your noses, what if he wins?
