Sure georgeh, sure. But my remarks stand–Younger does not automatically equate to either substance or style.
Oh–and Bernie is no Democrat.

Pick, pick, pick. Can you say anything positive?
Just a reminder, per Kush
" suggesting that public support for Trump’s border wall will grow after his address "
Okay. Nice job there guy.
Chump has chosen The Way Of Pain
Again who?
Names please
Who should have been the Speaker?
Who should have been the minority leader and if the move was made before the '18 midterms, would your choice have been successful in flipping the Senate?
I hate sounding like 1776’s version of John Dickinson, but here we are.
WoaPo’s headline:
“Trump makes humanitarian case for wall, calling border situation ‘a ”crisis of the soul”
WTF?!?
This piece of GABAGE gets front line headlines in “liberal” newspapers attached to words like “humanitarian case for wall” and “crisis of the soul” !?!
Hello!!!? Jesbus people, most of today’s idiots don’t make it past the headlines. And FYI, if FOX or some equally right wing news outlet featured a headline that propped up Nancy Pelosi like this garbage headline does, we would be crowing. Why can’t the media push back against this lying piece of manipulative filth? What is the DEAL???
Again who?
Jesus H. Sanders?
How dare people look their age and act like rational adults.
Let’s have more plastic surgery and juvenile taunting and posturing.
Trump had nothing new to say and didn’t even declare a national state of emergency as he had suggested he might.
So what was the point of this charade? I don’t think his base is really all that ginned up about a wall, especially when it results in government closure.
He’s playing a losing hand poorly and it’s a matter of time before the Republicans find a way to cave softly.
I think Nancy and Chuck did a nice job of saying let’s open the government and hash out border security separately, thus inviting some shaky Republicans over to their side.
Neither Speaker Pelosi, who I like, nor Minority Leader Shumer, who I grudgingly tolerate, mentioned the fact that Rump’s Sharpie has yet to encounter a bill for signature or veto.
The Senate needs to act before Rump can truthfullly be said to have done a damned thing besides emit his usual hot air, foul and blameworthy though his emmissions may be.
I like Schumer well enough (though he lacks the ruthlessness of a McConnell, or for that matter a Harry Reid), but in every picture I see of him he looks like the cat that’s swallowed the canary.
Not that that’s always a bad thing. It just makes me giggle.
Capitulate, escalate, abdicate
Trump can no longer stay were he is and has two choices,
Capitulate, reopen government and continue negotiators that he knows will not get a wall,
Escalate, declare a national emergency,
For Trump maybe a third choice, abdicate.
The Current Resident served up a nothingburger of an Oval Office address. Speaker Pelosi and Leader Schumer ordered him back to the kitchen with a wave do the hand… “Is that the best you could cook up, moron?”
As I recall, that version of Dickinson acquits himself quite well in the end, despite opposing the matter in civil debate.
The ever-dependable Rick Wilson assesses Toadglans’ “horrible, terrible, really bad not good speech.”
I do not think Obama needs georgeh’s help in expressing himself. I do not think we need georgeh’s help to interpret what Obama meant.
Well, he was elected by the people of Vermont as an independent which is why he returned to being an independent after 2016. He caucuses with the Democrats in the Senate.
Would you rather he not caucus with the Democrats?
He also has one of the most liberal voting records in the Senate, and remains one of the most popular politicians in America.
Although it may shock some here to learn this, the Democratic Party is not a cult or a sports team. It does not, nor should it, require uncritical loyalty or allegiance.
