Discussion: Paul Ryan's Races Beyond Boehner's Shadow With Omnibus Negotiation

National interests at least as pressing as Mr. Ryan’s boytoy stubble haven’t intruded into his valuable personal family time I hope…

Ryan’s Beard = Perry’s Glasses

He’s saying “I’m older and more mature now…not the babyfaced dollop of nonsense you were expecting…take me more seriously because I look like a professor now…”

Someone needs to tell him its December then.

Sorry, at 55% of the people who re-elected President Obama, white people are the main group in the Democratic paty, yet all I see is pandering to the black group and the hispanic group and constant whining by these smaller groups that they still haven’t been pandered to enough. What do you think white people have gotten from the Democratic party that has your knickers in a twist? All I see is bashing white people and bashing men and constant bitching by “people of color”. And guess what, since people of color have pretty much maxed out on their voter turnout, the only gains to be made are among white people.

When are we going to start talking about the issues that benefit all Americans and not just the squeaky wheels?

As soon as Ryan distributes copies of Atlas Shrugged to his fascist disciples staff, shit is gonna change.

Look up “Paul Ryan convert to Islam”. There actually have been some RWNJs suggesting that on comment boards.

Being in charge of the same bunch of knuckleheads is a prime example of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result…

Paulie thought it was 12/11/16!!??

Yeh, yeh—that’s the ticket.

vote for Clinton and get 4 more years of corporations getting most of what they want with lip-service to the needs of the middle class. certainly better than the republican alternative, but nothing to get excited about. republican lite, at best.

brooklyndweller – you mean “the main groups that support the Democratic party” that don’t bother to vote in midterms or local elections?

Could be. I remember the Andy show in which Goober was told that his beard made him “intellectual”. Most of us recall how that one came out.

Nice try. I have to keep reminding myself to not hold Sanders responsible for his idiot supporters online (aka trolls)

It’s really only the privileged emoprogs that need to “get excited about” about a President. The rest of us who live in reality understand that the POTUS is not your boyfriend/girlfriend and won’t magically make your life better.

Young people don’t vote in the midterms either. The point being, what?

Another vapid anti-Clinton troll phoning it in.

Until the Bush administration, we never referred to America as a “homeland.”
It’s a word with all the wrong connotations, and it should not be used by Americans when referring to this country.

I haven’t seen any vehicles in Oak Ridge with those markings—but aside from the local police, the security vehicles in O.R. are usually from DOE, not from DHS.

It is nice to have a candidate that at least wants to make my life better. If she doesn’t even want to make my life better, then why vote?

The deal Democrats have always offered is to maximize freedoms that don’t cost their corporate backers anything. So gay sex, birth control, and abortions for all – but don’t you dare say you want to close the gap on income inequality, reign in the Wall Street casino, or halt the export of jobs. Democrats will maybe give those wants lip service, but no promises. Hell, Democrats won’t even promise to defend Social Security anymore.

I wear a beard and have since the mid-1980’s. So now I’m gonna be considered a “radical Muslim” ?
