You own him, Ryan. You’ve made that bed, proclaimed loudly to the public how much you liked it, now go lie in it.
“I think the mature and responsible thing is to acknowledge it was wrong.”
Well, Trump’s not going to do that. So you support for president of the US–because he’s the nominee of your party–someone that you acknowledge is immature and irresponsible? Good boy!
Everyone knows Mexican isn’t a race, libtard Ryan!
Go back to San Francisco!
Shouldn’t the headline be, “Paul Ryan encourages voters to choose the ‘textbook racist’”.
I get this increasing feeling that the #realGOP is going to abandon his ass and just minimize down ballot losses by straight up saying, “dont vote for him but pull the lever for all the other Repubs on the ballot.”
Proof that Ryan owns him is that he’s beginning to talk like him, finds a snappy word and beats it to death.
.
“I’m not going to defend these kinds of comments because they’re indefensible,” Ryan said at a news conference. “I’m going to defend our ideas. I’m going to defend our majority.”
Too bad Paul, if you could have held off your endorsement (or support or whatever you want to call it) of Trump for a few more days, you could now be bragging of how wise an good at judging people you are, and position yourself for 2020. But since you didn’t you are now just another coward caught between 1st and 2nd,
Mr Ryan, you endorsed Trump so you own and support what he says. He’s your guy. Good luck with that shit.
wiggle: noun; move or cause to move up and down or from side to side with small rapid movements: verb; a wiggling movement
SO according to Ryan even a racist in the WH is better than HRC in the WH.
Republicans acknowledge a racist candidate and endorse same. Racism is officially part of the 2016 GOP platform.
“Claiming a person can’t do their job because of their race is sort of like the textbook definition of a racist comment,” Ryan said at a news conference.
Emphasis sort of added.
If he really believes having a racist, autocratic demagogue who would trample the Constitution would be a better President than Hillary, then he’s a damn fool. Because at that point, any differences in ideas/philosophy are of secondary importance.
I should of noticed. Good catch.
Supporting a textbook racist is sort of like being a racist yourself!
Has there ever been a case in modern times where a major figure openly admits that a candidate is racist (not merely that he was in the past but remains so) and still supports him? This isn’t a rhetorical question. Examples?
“But he is our racist and I’ll work hard to get him elected,” Ryan said quietly out of the microphones reach.
…Paulie rAYN is in survival mode…
That’s what makes the republican party so horrible. I can’t imagine what Ryan’s kids will think of dear old dad when they are old enough to reason this whole thing out. When Dad had the opportunity to do the right thing for the country, he caved. Mealy mouthed protests fell out of his mouth… but he caved. I keep finding myself repeating this… but Ryan is no profile in courage these days.
I guess he views himself as America’s first line of defense against the racist asshole he endorsed last Thursday. Republicans created this tar baby, it is time they accepted responsibility.
